Thank you all for your prayers. He is doing well and hopefully can go home the end of the week.

Mommy is able to breast feed him and Daddy changed his diapers today and got peed on. Lol! So he has been trained.

Thank you for all your prayers.

Mom went home this afternoon; Dawson will be in the NICU through Sunday because Tuesday morning he had a fever and they put him on an antibiotic that he needs to be on for a full 5 days. Mom will be coming to the hospital 2x a day to breastfeed him and she has been using the pump between breastfeedings and taking this milk to the NICU and they use this milk and use other donated breastmilk between times.

I'd like to ask you all to pray from me. I am having a tremendous amount of pain from sciatica. I went to the chiropractor on Monday and the weather was so nice I decided to go out and pick up some limbs and sticks to clean up the yard. I guess all the bending did something to my back because I can't step down on my right foot without it causing pain. I appreciate it. I am taking Tylenol and using the heating pad. But we have a 4 grandchildren overnight tonight and I need to be able get around.

Denise, I am so sorry you are troubled with sciatica. It is painful and stubbornly hard to get rid of. Sending you prayers for tonight with a full house of grands. Hopefully, the older ones can pitch in and help you.

Thank you Winnie. As long as they know the plan for the evening and morning they are good about working with us. Actually the most helpful sometimes is the 7 yr old. Lol

Prayers for some relief of your sciatica pain and that your grandchildren will help by being on their best behavior during their overnight visit with you.
Maybe a game of Chickenfoot or Farkle will keep them entertained?

So glad he is well and going home.
Everyone is finally in bed and sleeping here. We watched a movie with them after supper and showers.

Linda, did all go well for Dawson to go home?

I am heading to the chiroprator this morning. I am going to ask if he recommends physical therapy and how I would go about doing that. Referral, etc.

Daeson’s parents are tired today. Seems he “didn’t have a good night but could have been worse”. The NICU nurses told them his days and nights were out of whack, so he was awake most of the night at home. It will take a while to get him on a schedule. I think the more he eats\drinks the more he will sleep.

When my son was born, 50 years ago, lhe weighed just one ounce more than Dawson, and he was drinking a lot and was on cereal very quickly, and the doctors told me at that time it was because of his weight. He needed the cereal. and he slept throughout the night very quickly. I hope they can give Dawson as much milk as he wants - he is being breastfed.
