Ruth thank you for the beautiful card! So many to brighten things up and so many good wishes.

Marilyn, interesting take on the swaddling clothes. I've never heard that before. We learned they were used by mothers long before Jesus birth. Pieces of cloth held around the babes with smaller strips of cloth tied around. They were used to keep babies limbs straight and warm. Mary likely carried those with her since her time was close. Though much different they are still used today for the same purposes.
It is so interesting to hear different takes on things we have heard or read.

Connie, you always share such beautiful pictures!

Denise, since they were in a barn, with a cow, I assumed that those were the rags used to clean the cow and she used some for her baby.
It really bothers me that so many artists paint the wise men into the nativity...but they arrived later, in fact some say over a year later.
The family had moved into a small house, where they stayed until Jesus was almost two...when Joseph was told to take his young family and flee. King Herod was going to kill all baby boys two and younger. He did not want the new young King to survive.

Yes it does say they came to the house and he is called a young child. My kids always put the wisemen in a different room so they would be traveling.
The most important part is that he was born.

My thanks to Sherry. I love the towel...because I remember that deer cookie cutter that we had when I was a kid. The dish "rag" is so nice. Thank you sweet Sherrh.

Ladies please forgive me for not naming each of you individually. I got behind, what with sewing and shelling pecans and fixing lunch for hubby every day. Plus I spent a day in town shopping . So I took photos of the cards, I had received through Wed. I will take another photo and post it later. Thank you all. We have really enjoyed them.

Oh my Sherry, what a surprise came in the mail yesterday! Thank-you so much, I love the wonderful dish towel and the Cardinal dishcloth!

Maryellen, your beautiful card arrived too. Did you make it? It is so pretty with all the pearls. Thank-you!

I am adding my same thanks as Marilyn for all of the pretty cards and tucks from everyone this year! It has been such a blessing and a joy to hang them up in my Log Cabin office. It makes me happy every time I look at them and I love the sweet messages from everyone as well. Thank-you ALL so much!

Thank you everyone for the lovely cards and goodies. It truly made my week. I'm a tad behind and I do apologize. Work has been insane.

Debbie, love the snowflake!

Marlee, thank you for the owl.

Sherry, I received you gift today but am under the impression that I'm not suppose to open it until Dec 25 ... no peeking sticker is on it! I'm such a rule follower! lol

Julie, thank you for the lovely stickers.

Again, thank you so much for the lovely cards and goodies.

Farmgirl hug,

Carole

Thank you everyone for the sweet cards, the towels Sherry, and Marilyn for the gifts! The kids are so excited to open them here shortly! We are about to eat brunch first. Things here are actually pretty quiet and calm, which has been lovely! We didn't start opening gifts until around 8:30 and now the majority of the kids are sitting and reading their books <3

Hi everyone. I am making it back on here. I have been sick with some kind of chest infection the whole week of Christmas and this week , So Christmas week was a bust. Thank goodness I didn't have to cook. Went to hubby's sister since I wasn't contagious. I sat in a recliner and took my meds. And wanted to cry. But went back to the dr., 2 more shots in the hiny and I got to say OUCH. But I am on the mend.
Second I want to thank my sisters for cards:
Maryellen- the pretty Christmas card tree so pretty
Darlene- The country snow man scene love it.
Sara: The cute New Years card. Can't believe 2020
Julie: The sweet 2 snowmen in front of fence and house. Brings back memories.

Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas.
Hugs Marlee
