Here's the list for the Recipe Swap for July. So glad we got such a good turnout! We have everyone's addresses on our wonderful information sheets except Maryellen and Lexi. Sherry kindly offered to email us their addresses, so we should be all set (many thanks, Sherry!). There are 12 of us (11 plus yourself!)

1. Alicia (DandeeRose)
2. Darlene (darlenelovesart)
3. Shannon (hudsonsinaf)
4. Denise (levisgrammy)
5. Sherry (sweettea59)
6. Maryellen (mbenton16)
7. Lexi (Lexi Lavendar)
8. Jame (HunnysHen)
9. Bonnie (Bonnie Ellis)
10. Carole (ceridwen)
11. Julie (treelady)
12. Amy (Song Sparrow)

Just a reminder, a recipe for a barbecue or picnic on a 3 x 5 card, decorate if you wish, but not necessary. Happy cooking (and mailing)!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I know, I know, I'm posting a lot today! It's just so good to have the time to connect, and so therapeutic!

Anyone want to do a recipe swap? I kind of thought a monthly swap with a theme would be fun and not a boat-load of work. We could start with July, and it would be a picnic/barbecue recipe. We could hand-write them on 3X5 cards (or whatever format our partner that month likes for recipes) and even decorate them. What do you think? If there's some interest, I'll post the sign-up, partner posting, and mail-out dates shortly.

Happy Day!

This sounds lovely, though honestly I'd love to send and receive from everyone rather than one person. Does that make sense? Kinda like the postcard swap on the main board, but rather mail everyone a recipe? And then we could have a Scattered Prairie Girls Cookbook. Either way, it sounds great :)

I agree. One from each of us. So for each one of us signed up, we mail a recipe card?

Amy, how do you want to run your swap?

Hmmm . . Now I have to decide if we do partners or send everyone who signs up a recipe, a la the postcard swap. I'm not sure I can handle the pressure of deciding LOL! OK, let's go with sending everyone a recipe, that way we all get to have all those lovely new recipes to try out. And we end up with our own Henhouse collection, which is very cool!

So, for July, a recipe for a picnic or cookout.
Sign up by June 30
Mail out by July 15, one to each dear lady who signs up
Recipe on a 3 x 5 card, decorated if you wish, but not required!

I guess we might all have each other's addresses on the new sheets by then, but if we don't I'll gather them up and email them.

Just to keep me straight (a big job, that!), here's who is signed up so far:

Me :)
Alicia
Darlene
Shannon
Julie
Denise
Sherry
Maryellen
Lexi
Jami
Bonnie
Carole

Give me a holler if that's not right. Hope to welcome some more of you in! Yeah!

Yes, and I'll do a new sign up each month, I think. Some months are busier than others for different people, and everyone may not want to do every month. Does that make sense??

So will the swaps be to everyone instead of one on one then? Just trying to get it straight in this old head.
