I have been MIA for the past couple of months, it seems! So glad to get caught up here with all of the goings on with everyone.
Judith, it sounds like you had a wonderful day out...antiquing is so much fun! Glad you found some treasures!
Shannon, SO glad that you have your house and life back! Hope you are doing well and taking care of yourself!
Denise, keeping all of your family in my prayers!
Erin, hope you got the arguing dilemma solved....at least for a little while! It is a never ending problem it seems!
Christine, I tried your yogurt and it turned out great! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Ah Joyce, I feel like a big baby complaining about Jason being gone. I'm sorry!

Arguing did improve a little! I just keep kicking them outside... haha!

Oh no Erin - don't feel like you're being a baby. Tyson was only gone last year for three months - other than that he's only home - except one or two times it ended up being overnight as the bridge to our island closes if there are high winds. I'm so glad the arguing is going better!!

I'm on a dairy free diet :( I've been on it for about a week now, and definitely feel the effects of being off it in a positive way..however, I finally got my DAIRY JERSEY COW again!!! I'm really hoping it won't need to be a permanent thing.

Aw, so you're kind of sad about it? I'm glad it's effecting you positively, but that is a bummer that you just got your dairy cow! I don't drink milk or cream or anything like that but I don't think I could make it without butter and cheese! I hope it's not permanent for you, but if it's helping you, that's good.

Yes....just sad and lonely. I don't know if it will be permanent, but I went completely dairy free and it certainly is helping.

Hey girls! How's it goin? I've been baking all day... you guessed it... zucchini bread! I've been making it without nuts, because my kids are picky, but last week I got some raw pecans from one of my friends, so I chopped those up for it. Problem is, I'm not eating anything so sugary as zucchini bread, so that leaves my husband. I think I'll probably have to give some away! I'm loving the raw pecans though. So good! Luckily it has not been that hot so baking hasn't been unbearable.

What's everyone else up to?

How is everyone?
We are finally getting started on the painting today. The ceilings anyway. They are in dire need and I know the new paint will brighten up the rooms. I think I mention we are doing renovations to our two front rooms. New flooring as been chosen and I'm excited to be having this done after so long.

Still have my sad memory days due to going through odds and ends of dad's things. Pictures, books, etc. Most everything else has been sorted through. I have packages set aside for my brothers. Hope to get those sent out soon.

Need to get the rest of the garden put to bed for the winter. The tomatoes just keep coming though.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Some of you might be country music fans, I'm not really, but if you are you may be familiar with the Luke Bryan Farm Tour. He played in our little town of Monroeville in someone's random harvested field last Thursday, so my sister, aunt, and cousin came out from Chicago for that. My aunt and cousin left the next day, but my sister stayed through the weekend so that was fun to see her for a while. I tackled some much needed cleaning this weekend such as the always scary room of a 10 and 8 year old boys. Also the equally scary craft room of a too-busy mom! Both rooms are looking pretty good now!

Yay for cleaning up, Erin! I had my sister visit last week too. I live on the East Coast and she lives on the West Coast, so it was so nice to see her and my niece!

Thanks Christine. The biggest thing is dad no longer is in pain and I know he wouldn't want us sad. It was hard at first but I know he's with my mom and sister and I know they a tree all happy and at peace. It's good to see you here.

Hi Ladies,

I've been MIA for a long time. Maybe a year or more. We moved to Kansas...I had a baby...hubby deployed....now he is back. It has been crazy busy. I felt like I was barely hanging on the whole deployment. I'm making some changes and getting my priorities in better order now that he is home and I can breathe again! I'm hoping to have a bit more free time for working on projects and badges and stuff this coming year so I'm jumping back in here! I'm glad Erin is patient with us when we disappear!!! I'm a bit lost not sure if we are working on anything as a group right now. I plan to dig out my neglected badge book and update everything that has changed since I last looked and see what I need to work on.

When we moved to Kansas we bought a house on 1 acre and I now have chickens! I had bees but they all mysteriously died last week. I'm on the waiting list for some angora rabbits that should be born soon. In the spring I'm going to put a lot of focus into gardening. Our new house is 140 years old! It is a very neat house but needs a good bit of work as does the property but it is what I've been waiting many years for!!

Hope you are all doing well.

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina! I understand the military life. My husband retired this year after 22 years service.
Your new house sounds wonderful! And a new baby! Congratulations!!
The great thing about this group is they understand life happens.
If you ever need to "vent", I'm an email away!

Take care!

Hey guys! Checking in before I disappear again ;) My section is this Friday. Pray for me please dear sisters! I am petrified of surgery and this one is really playing on my mind and heart, probably due to the remote area and sad services you get at this hospital. My first surgery I was overdosed and coded, so surgeries scare me anyways, but like I aid, this one is really playing with my spirit! I'm praying I have a VBA3C unintentionally... that it happens so fast there is nothing we can do about it, lol. Who knows - it could happen ;)
