Not sure what I'm going to have tonight. I'm thinking salmon (since both DH and Pumpkin is in MA)! Will have to do a trip into town because I am all out! Hum ....

Sounds like an opportunity to eat out at your favorite restaurant. I think I will make a rhubarb pie for supper.

We are having bigger dinner.... grilled chicken, corn on the cob, coleslaw, and potato salad, all with iced tea. Yummy!

Bonnie, yea I would eat out under normal circumstances but somehow I just want to be in the house, all alone. I've had a busy week, so a quiet house makes it special. Guess what I had for dinner?

LOL! Fresh out of the oven! Top that with some steamed broccoli, yummy! Wine optional but highly recommended!

Dinner last night was fantastic! There are eight of us eating, so we cut up to chickens to grill... And they ate almost all of them! I only had half a breast! I have no clue how the kids eat as much as they do! We have about a quarter of the coleslaw left... And we used two heads of cabbage and about eight carrots for that, no corn left, and barely any potato salad! Smh! It really was yummy though, and it has been a long time since I have made iced tea, as we normally drink water. For some reason I had a craving for iced tea. Unfortunately, I think the sugar who me me up around three. And I couldn't go back to sleep for awhile! I have issues with caffeine or sugar too late.

Sounds like everyone had a good feed! I never liked coleslaw until I had it at my Aunt Edna's. She made it with vinegar instead of mayo and she always put radishes in it. I think of her every time I make her recipe. I'd be interested to know how everyone here makes their's?

We are going fishing in a bit, so I am hoping supper will be fresh fish. Just in case I put hamburger in the fridge as a back up. Amy, I make a cream dressing for my coleslaw, I would be interested to try your recipe though. Shannon, I can't nimagine how much food you will be cooking as the kids get older.

Julie, I'll post her recipe in the next day or so. Did you have fish or burgers? We had veggie burgers tonight, and fudge that my daughter brought back from the beach for dessert. Lots of fudge! :)

What is that, Carole? It really looks good!

I made me a pot of rigatoni with hot italian sausage in a good marinara sauce.
Yum.

Oh boy, I love rigatoni Darlene! Growing up with an Italian mama (and grandmother and great-grandmother!) always cooking, I'm a big pasta fan and rigatoni is one of my favorite shapes.

Alicia... I should probably sugar detox again, though I can honestly say if I have too much or it later in the day, I do not sleep, so I do not have nearly as much as I use to!

Last night I seared a roast and through it in the crockpot with onions, garlic, and mushrooms, added some Worcestershire sauce, and usedwhitewine to deglaze the searing pan and through that in too... I ended up having fresh green beans with it, as well as rice, and made a gravy from the sauce/juices. It was yummy!

Tonight I am still debating what I want to make! I think I am leaning towards a pork tenderloin. Guess I need to decide so I can get it out of the freezer!

Last night supper was burgers. We got a few nibbles, everyone around us was catching fish, but not us. Good thing I thought ahead. Today we are taking 2 of the granddaughters to Aberdeen to Storeybook land, so I am pretty sure supper tonight will not be very healthy. But I won't have to cook, so it is a win-win.

Hugs

awww shucks! thanks!

tonight was grilled pork tenderloin over salad (we are almost out of lettuce :( it is the heat of the summer!), with homemade canned peach salsa, along side some rice. It was yummy! Some of the family also put on balsamic vinegar... I just stuck with the peach salsa :)

Hi everyone all the suppers sounds wonderful. Tonight it was leftovers from last night of chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with green beans and rolls. My hubby's favorite. But today I did make King Ranch Chicken for my oldest, she got bite by a snake last night and can not stand. So mom is fixing supper for the rest of the week.

Farmgirl Hugs & May all your Wishes come true.
