Judith, you are so funny :) I can only speak for myself, but it absolutely wonderful of you to share recipes, no matter whether they are handwritten or typed! I seriously doubt anyone is going to mind!!! That is the beauty of this type of forum. We are each different and unique, with our own set of circumstances, yet our love of being a farm girl, whatever that means to each of us personally, unites us!

Oh and apparently I did not attach the list yesterday, smh. I will resend it off my computer in a couple hours (it is a little after 4:30 am, so I am alittle slow going at the moment, lol).

Well said Shannon! Hand-written or typed, doesn't matter as much as the participation and sharing with each other.
Welcome back Judith!

I agree. It's up to you how you'd like to share. Shannon, I noticed that yesterday, but then I got confused because you did send it to me!

These are 2 pages I created for my Recipe Binder. A cover page and the Contents list. Please look over the Table of Contents list. Do you think I should add, remove, combine any?

I have created several pages, all with the little bunch of wildflowers in the lower right corner. Other pages include index pages, recipe pages and blank pages (with icon only).

Let me know if you would like to have any of these. They can be customized by changing the font, colors, size, etc.

Kathleen this is so cute! I love it! I want all the pages! :) My only suggestion is to maybe just have one section for side dishes? But even that's fine, if you want to leave it that way. I think it's great!

Oh, goody! Well, Kathleen, I would like your pages too! They are pretty and would be another addition to the group project. It looks like you are very complete in your recipe divisions.

Joyce, what size recipe cards do you prefer? I think I could fit the typing to that size card.

I've always loved working on cookbooks!

Judith - I think typing in cursive is perfect!! I completely understand each persons unique situations :)
My recipe box holds a litter larger than an index card, so I'm good with bigger cards...but it doesn't really matter as I can always cut and glue to attach it to a card so it does fit properly :)

Kathleen - these are beautiful!!! I think maybe now I should put the recipe cards in a see through folder thingy...and build my binder that way...this will be so special. I would love to have these, Kathleen!

I am so pleased you like my pages! I have sent them to all of you in email. Just to make certain you have the font, I included the font files for you to download. Also, sent it out in PDF and also MS Word. I have a Mac so use different software. Once you add the fonts to your font library you should have no problems; but, let me know if you should.

Oh, for Sara, Sherone and Jeanna the Mailer Demon returned your emails to me. Could you please send me an email so I correct my typo?

Thanks.

Will someone please outline for me what has been decided. The more I read through the tread the more confuse I seem to get. The fog of MS sometimes keeps me from focusing and grasping what I read.

Sara, don't feel badly. I don't have MS and have the same fog. :)

I think we have just about decided to follow the Recipe Table of Contents list, and send out one recipe per month(?).

Use whatever method you choose: hand-written and scanned, typed, scan a recipe from a book, and send it out in one email to the group. Groups can be created in the email contacts area of your email service.

Everyone, does this sound like what we will be doing? In addition we will do something special for holidays, such as an entire menu or some such thing.

Sounds good, just let us know when you want us to start. Are you picking a theme, or will it just be whatever we want to send?

Wow, Kathleen! Too bad we aren't starting our book of Awesome today! Thank you so much for sharing your pages and font. I love the little wildflower photo! I opened all this late last night. So, I need to go through it more slowly. My mother and I would love that egg pudding recipe. So simple and delicate. Yum!

I am pleased that you all like my pages :) I didn't realize the egg custard recipe was saved in the template, I was playing around testing fonts for the recipes, to get the easiest on the eyes and most on information on a page.

This egg custard is my "comfort food" during the cold and damp times. I have made it using only 2 eggs and skim milk, all the way to using 5 eggs and cream; even tried it with evaporated milk; adding more brown sugar and also not using it at all. All sorts of variations.

All so soothing when my body is aching from the weather. I know you will enjoy it.

Now then, since we have so many projects going on, the binder, the Awesome, Herbs and the recipes; How would you all prefer to do our submissions? Once weekly, or monthly?

Personally, I think once a month would be good with our busy summer schedules. That way, we can use a week of each month for working on a project. Such as: week 1, the binder; week 2: the Awesome Book, week 3: Recipes and week 4; Herbs (this is the order the projects were created).

Whichever you all choose is good with me.

As for the recipes, Let's follow the Table of Contents list I sent to you.

First up: Breakfast
You tell me. When do you want to begin?

It's time for me to go an let the goats out into their pen for the day, and see to the chickens, ducks and garden.
Talk again soon.

Have a wonderful day!
