Life here has been an adventure for sure! On Saturday, my nine year old tripped over a wooden pallet and split his leg open down to the muscle! Thankfully we have a fantastic teaching hospital with an incredible pediatric ER relatively close by, that were able to take care of it.... Though the procedure of closing it was an hour and a half! He is doing better and not taking the psi meds constantly any more, though he still needs a lot of help around the house. We did finally stop raining, so today I worked out in the garden! Harvested a nice amount of spinach, lettuce, and snap peas, with one carrot. We held off on harvesting any more radishes, as yesterday we harvested almost two dozen!

Carole - did your list get done? The family went to the zoo on Friday for my birthday :) then my oldest (11) made me a cake on Sunday, since on Saturday we had the hospital trip with the nine year old. She had made 250 flowers on Thursday for the cake! I will have to see if I can post pictures. I think she did a lovely job!

Marlee - welcome back. Sounds like you have had a really rough time of it. I had low potassium for YEARS due to a mass on my adrenal gland. It use to cause me to pass out all the time, due to it messing with the q phase of the heart rhythm. Mine hit the point where it was so bad, that I was on 160 mEq of potassium a day, yet my potassium hardly ever got above a 3.0 (normal low is 3.5), I passed out at least oncea day and I had to carry liquid potassium with me every where I went, because when it dropped really bad, I cramped up, including my face, so I couldn't talk to explain what was going on to anyone else. I finally had surgery to remove that adrenal gland in September. Oh the other thing I had to deal with, with it, was because my potassium was so low, my sodium was high, causing my blood pressure to be sky high... Even on two blood pressure medicines, I was at stroke level most of the time. Within a month of having the surgery, I was off both blood pressure meds... And within two days of the surgery, I was off the horse pills they call potassium :) as for your kidney stones - Eeks! I am so sorry! I would rather give birth any day over having kidney stones! When is your surgery? Are they putting a stent in? Praying for you!

Ruth - so glad your dh is better! I don't know what you consider getting older, but I certainly feel that way myself right now, lol. I would say I feel old, but I have a feeling that may not go over too well ;)

Marlee, Ruth & Shannon - Goodness ... you all take good care of yourselves. I will be keeping you in my thoughts.

Darlene, glad you had a wonderful birthday!

As for the chocolate, would love that you are closer so that I can share. I did give some to my club members, but that didn't even make a dent in that box! lol I do not need to be eating all of that good chocolate.

As for the list Shannon, it is still ongoing. DH is on vacation for 2 weeks so I have him booked to change the florescent light bulbs in the shop as well as install the a/c. Not ready to turn that baby on, but I'm hopeful!

It's official, Pumpkin (DD) has made her college decision. That takes a bit of stress off her back and to be truthful mine too! Although I was never one to hover over my little girl, gave her lots of room to be independent ... it's a bag of mixed feelings watching her plan her future. Sigh ...! They grow up so quickly!

I best be getting back to work. Lots to do! I just wanted to pop in and see what you all were up to! Take good care of yourselves!

Farmgirl Hug!

Hi Carole,
I am glad your DD was able to choose the College she wants. Is it close to home.

Well if I was close by I would love to dig into your chocolate and see all your quilts and things to.
Have a good Wed.

You're so sweet Darlene. You are welcome to come over anytime! As for the college, it is over 6 hours south west from home. Of course, given that I live as far north east as one can get without crossing into Canada or Vermont, everything is south west of me! lol

Cold weather here. Wish if would warm up a bit! Oh well, Cheers!

Julie and Carole - thank you for the birthday cards! They have truly been uplifting, especially during this rough time period! Lee now has an infection is his leg. They will be doing surgery at 1100 tomorrow morning to drain it and clean it out :/ Not doing so hot right now!!!

Just sharing a bit of humour! I had a good friend of mine join me for lunch at the shoppe today. After she left, I received a shipment of Batiks. So I text her using the voice recognition on my Iphone .... and this is what was sent:

I laughed so hard that I was crying. Did me a lot of good, as it has been an emotional couple of weeks for me. I'm still laughing!

BTW, but cheeks = Batiks

Enjoy your day!

Hi everyone! Thank you for the sweet prayers. Hubby is doing a lot better. Here is something funny in the ER. After Terry was feeling better, since he is VA, we didn't go to the V.A. Hospital , the resource nurse came to ask questions. She asked Terry, " Mr. Cryar can you answer questions by yourself?" he say's " No, I'm married!" I almost fell off the chair laughing. The nurse laughed and said" I think you can answer these."

Yes, Ruth they are putting a stent in. Hate those things. The first one I had was great the doctor knew what he was doing. We when to the lake on vacation, I was scuba diving awesome. The 2nd one horrible that dr. did not know what was what. a couple of weeks later, it came partially out. So I pulled it out. The doctor got upset. I told him let me put one in you that's not in right. I would not let them put another. I have a lipitripcy in June. So no cutting thank goodness.

I am trying to catch up on here. Miss my sister's on here. Seems like a lot going on. So going to read and catch up!

Hi Gals, Thanks for your prayers... all is well here :)!
Carole, that is so funny! I quit using voice msg because it caused too many problems, not as funny as yours!
Marlee, Your hubby has a great sense of humor, love it! Hope all goes well with your kidney stones. like "gone"!
Shannon, Praying your son is doing better! I would love to see photos of the flowers your daughter made!

Hope you all get some Spring weather soon! We have been having lots of rain, but everything is getting so green and pretty. The plus side of the rain, is it is washing a lot of the pollen away :)! It's been cool here the last couple of days. 40s in the morning, and tonight a cold front is coming through (not sure what that mean temp wise)! But we are supposed to have several days of sunshine! Need to get back out in our flower garden - lots to do before it gets HOT!
Hubby is going to start bee keeping - very excited about that! He did it years ago, so he is excited too!

Darlene a lipitripsy, is like a sound wave but they use and it causes the stone to break up and use just pass. I had one before. That's the way to go!

My cat Sox was missing for three weeks, and one day here he is. He snuggled up to me. I gave him the speech of if you live in my house you obey the house bit. He hung around for three days and he's off again. He has a girlfriend somewhere because he was well fed. The next speech is this farm is not an open house for you to bid time when your not out catten. We'll see! LOL.

When to the Dr. I have Asthma and he gave me meds. Was coming home got stung on the leg and am not sure what it was. Every time I turn around something else, but today is Monday. I hope that is not a pattern for the week.

Wow everyone is working on projects, that is what I need to do. I am becoming overwhelmed. There is so much to do. I don't know where to start.

Oh Ruth I just saw where your hubby is going to start beekeeping. We have 8 hives, hubby loves it. If I get stung I am allergic so I have to bee careful. Long time ago, I made candles from the wax. It was fun..
Trying to get some things accomplished hopefully.

Love all my sweet sisters

Thanks Marlee, You take care of your health ok. Your cat sounds like he knows he owns you and he is the boss. Heh heh.

Hope you are feeling better after the Dr. and the sting and the Asthma.
Maybe just sit and listen to the birds...

My favorite thing to do ..

Take care everyone, and have a good evening.
