Hello everyone,

Brrrrr! It's starting to get cold outside. I thought I would move the porch chat to the fireside or wood stove. I don't know about you, but it is getting a tad chilly around here. Well, for us Northerners anyway!

Good morning, Carole and everyone.

Fireside chat sounds so comfy, I love it and watching a fire and hearing it crackle is a nice morning thought. It is cool here but good weather so far but maybe rain later.
I came up with a swap this morning that might be fun and I will put it on a different topic.
At least I thought it might.
Nothing big but can be pretty.
Any way watch for it.

hugs

Good morning,

Up earlier than usual, thanks to day light savings. Wish we would keep that time. Such a beautiful day today! The sun is shining! I have a room in my home that has windows that face East and south. In the winter time it is so sunny. I enjoy sitting there, just doing my thing. The bright sun makes a cold winter day so cheerful.

Today I plan on working on a small project that I wanted done yesterday. I'm not sure what is going on in my sewing studio, but I have sprites that are hiding things. You cannot begin to imagine how much time I have spent looking for something, only to have it show up in places I have looked a gazillion times!!!!! Last night I was looking for the block that I need to piece with a stitchery and do you think I can find it? No, but it has been starring at me for the past few days, and now that I need it .... No use fighting it. I'll just start a new project and wait for it to jump at me. I'm sure the person to whom this small quilt is going too will understand. Arrrg!

For those interested in reading a bit about my Fall Market experience, you can do so on my neglected blog. Poor blog! I finally sat down this early morning, in my sunny room, and posted an entry.

Off to continue crossing off items on my "to do list"! Here blocky, blocky .... where are you?

Catch you later!

Good Morning all,
Carole your blog is neglected and I feel I have neglected the hen house. Life is busy here. Cattle came home last week, I came down with a nasty cold, finished combining soybeans and have gotten some last minute fall projects done. We had snow flakes this week, a reminder of what is to come. We will start combining corn Tuesday so today and tomorrow are catch up on much neglected household chores. If all goes well corn will be done in a few weeks, I am glad the end is in sight.

Take care everyone and I will talk to all soon.

Carole, have a wonderful birthday tomorrow!

Hugs
Julie

Carole, Darlene, Julie.......fire side chat sounds nice
It's cold here in Ks as well. Brrrrr!

I made it back to church this morning for the first time in over 6 months. I couldn't stay for the whole thing.......but able to stay for majority. Had to get up and walk every 20 minutes like I'm suppose to! So thankful I attend a laid back church were it doesn't matter if people go in/out etc!

I'm hoping to get to crafty things etc but so hard since my sitting time is limited to set amounts. But that's kinda fir the rest of my life so I need to find ways to make that work now ;)

Hope all of you are doing well!

Hugs to all,
Linda

Ladies! May I ask for good thoughts and prayers?! No sooner did that last post and I fell.....yet again. Sooooo annoyed and frustrated!!! My back seems ok, fell straight onto knee and it's a bit swollen but bones seem ok. Appreciate your prayers!
Bit discouraged right now :(

Thank you,
Linda

Linda, goodness, do be careful! Will keep you in my thoughts!

Julie, do take good care of yourself. A cold is a sign that you've been over doing it. You need some rest. Glad you are taking time for some hot baths! A glass of wine is as good as a margarita! I'm relaxing here! Cheers! lol

Playing around with some new digitizing software. Fun to work with, I particularly like the border effect!

Went down to Plattsburgh (a small town, ok to me it is but don't mention that to the people around here lol) to do some shopping at Sam's. Gosh, was it cold! The wind was just a howling. Brrrr! A sure sign of what is to come!

Enjoy your evening everyone!

Hi Gals, Good to be back for a few minutes. Happy Birthday to Carol and to Julie. I have been as busy as one can be on a walker :(! My sweet hubby was presented a Quilt of Valor this past Saturday here at our home with many family and friends. Our girls and one son-in-love (the other son-in-love works weekends) were a tremendous help, cooking, cleaning, etc. Friends and neighbors also brought food for everyone to enjoy! It was a special Honor for my hubby, and for me to stand with him.
We had snow October 31 - November 1, it was all gone Sunday afternoon, except the Snow Pumpkin our SIL made :)! The earliest snow I remember here in the North Georgia Mountains.
Love the fireside chat! It is a little too cool for the porch right now!
Hugs, Ruth

Happy Birthday Julie! Hope your day is marvelous!

Linda, glad to read that your are doing better!

Good to see you Ruth! Wow, you had snow already! None here, so far anyway. They had called for same last weekend but we ended up getting rain.

Happy Birthday Julie,rt
I hope you had a great day! Most of my day was spent at the election polls I started there at 6am, I left there at 10 to 3 and went to work, and at 6pm went to Bible study and then at 8pm went back to the polls to help count and take down. Glad that was over but it was a lot of fun, there are a lot of fun people here in Loleta.
Tomorrow I wait to have them pick up the voting materials and turn in the key to the fire hall. Yay!

Busy week for me, I am already tired.
Have a good night.

Hello Everyone,

The weekend is here! I work on Saturdays, so my official weekend starts after 4:00 p.m. Does anyone have any special plans?

I will be leaving "on a jet plane" Sunday afternoon and headed to Orlando, FL. DD and I will be enjoying a week at Universal Studios, more specifically "Harry Potter World". We are both HP fans and are so looking forward to it. I haven't had a vacation in more than a decade. This will be special, as it is just her and I. She will be leaving for college next year and I thought, this is the year we need to do this.

The weather looks lovely for the week! Ah .... mega relaxation here I come!

Cheers!

I saw a show on television showing the Harry Potter World and the actors were looking at it as it just opened that was pretty neat! I heard that JK Rolling has written another Harry Potter book.

Have a great time and I will be waiting to hear how your trip went and pictures.
I am going to Washington, State for Thanksgiving and really am excited to see my family.

I did read somewhere that she was working on another HP book. I think they are presently filming the movie "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them".

Darlene, sounds like it will be a fun time for you in Washington! Looking forward to reading about your trip.

Speaking of which, if you are interested, I finally got around to finishing the various blog entries regarding Quilt Market and the Space Center. I need a time turner! lol
