I have fractured my hip, so have not been on here either, too painful to sit at the computer. Going to Ortho on Thursday for his input.

Hi Chickies, Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. I see the Orthopedic in the morning, praying for a good report!
Sherry, I received your precious card and tea bags today, what a sweet treat - thank you so much! Really cheered me up! Nothing quite like "farmgirl mail"!
Well, I'm toddeling off to the kitchen to make me some tea, then dear hubby has to carry it to the table for me. Can't carry much using a walker :(! But, very, very thankful for the walker, because I couldn't walk without it :)!! Not complaining at all, I am blessed!

I went to the Orthopedic yesterday, I have two fractures, but will not require surgery - thankful!!! Have to continue to stay down as much a possible, and use the walker (no weight on my right leg) when up for at least 3 more weeks (not bad). He said it will probably take 6 months till I am back to my normal self, but said I was doing remarkably well. Thanks you all for you prayers and support!

I am glad you are on the mend. My prayers will continue for you and you be careful lady!
I had an interesting morning I went to a 2 hour class on procedures of helping run the voting booths and stuff, It was interesting, I guess I am volunteering again. anyway the weather was nice today and I guess we have more wind and rain coming in in Weeee!

| Ruth, I am sorry you have two fractures but glad you won't be needing surgery! It is good that you can at least get around with the walker and only have 3 more weeks until you will be a bit more mobile. What a fall you had!! This will be a good time to catch up on all that reading and handwork you have been wanting to do! Take care and prayers for your continued healing!! |
