Okay Gals I need a Large 5-6 inches long Vintage Cross for a necklace a friend is making for me. I want it brassy or gold tone, I just want it to look old, it can of course be a reproduction. I would like it to be filigree or some sort of decoration not just a solid cross. Nor do I want Jesue on it as I have those, I want it more plan yet awesome!
Hippy/Bohemiam look like back in the olden days of knights, something like that. Does that make sense? It is really so hard to describe what I want. I am willing to pay for or barter if one of you have one, although I certainly can not pay a lot.
I am trying to find pictures of what I am looking for, when I find one I will post it.

Debbie I may have the cross you need.

Oh yes the cross is 51/2 inches long x 23/4 wide at the cross part.
It is not vintage but looks like it and it comes in a box brand new to me.
Would it work for you?

Debbie, these are the two crosses I have. I don't know if they are anything like what you have in mind. The one on the left I can't part with...it is vintage sterling from Peru my mama gave me :)
The one on the right I could, but it is only about 2-1/2" long. The one on the left is 3-1/2" long and it is REALLY big when I wear it, so I can't imagine wearing
one 4-5 inches! Anyway, if nothing else maybe the pics will show what you may or may not be looking for in a cross. Ackkkk sorry the photo is sideways....grrrrr.

Thanks Darlene, I want it to look old, bohemin/hippy style. I will find one, it may take awhile but that is the fun of looking for a treasure. I believe I can get one light enough too that it will not drag my neck down:-)

Well the one I have definitely will drag your neck down, ha. I looked on line and all I could find were a lot like Tammy has, and they were expensive. Good luck on your search.

Yes, I have been on the internet too, Etsy, Ebay and elsewhere. I have found what I want in magazines, Where Women Create and a couple others.
Peggy, has a nice one as well that she got at JoAnn's a few years ago so I will look there as well.
I think I am wanting more Brassy than Silver as it will look older.
