It is time to sign up for our July Summer Swap, this year is different as it is not a 4th of July Swap but a July summer swap. You can fill your package with any summer goodies you wish for your partner, think picnic, gardens, red, white and blue whatever your hearts desire. It will all be a surprise for your partner, also in the card they send tell them a bit about what summer means to you.
As July is my birthday month and my all time favorite holiday is the 4th of July I am doing a give away to honor our men and women in Service, our flag and the 4th of July. You have to do nothing as everyone's name will go in my Mama Hen Hat. You will know you won when your very special 4th of July gift arrives before the 4th of July. Then you will post that you were the winner and what you received, sound like fun? I sure think so.
Thanks ladies for always making our monthly swaps so much fun.

So, happy you are signing up too Nancy Jo and Darlene.
I am not sure why the 4th of July is so special to me, perhaps because I grew in the military as a young military wife and my hubby Tom retired after 23 years in the Army. I am extremely patriotic, and I love our flag. I start my summer red, white and blue and flag decorating on June 1st, as I have to be finished by June 14th flag day. This year is the 200th anniversary of our flag so my decorating and many more flags will be special this year. It is just one of the many ways I like to honor our men and women in the Military who protect all of us and our freedom. I appreciate their service so much and I want to show it as I am so proud of all of them.

I too enjoy the 4th of July and all it stands for. I appreciate our Military, past, present and future for their sacrifice and the sacrifices of their families as well.

Bless you Debbie for all you just wrote! I am behind you 100%
My father was in the Army in WWII and although I didn't know till he passed away that he had received a Medal of Honor and a Purple Heart, I have always been proud of him and my Country. I just get excited so much about being an American. Thank God for that.

Darlene I know how proud you are of your Dad I appreciate him and all our past military soldiers who sacrificed for us and our present and future soldiers. Like Ruth said we should never forget any of them.

Sign me up pleeeease. I am so ready for this swap. I have been working on it since the end of May!
Love summertime but especially the 4th when we celebrate what our forefathers intended for this country to be. I understand how you feel Debbie having been a military wife also. We have many family members who served as well. Proud of them all and all those who serve and have served we are grateful for.
My son in love's birthday is on the 4th so we always have lots to celebrate. |
