Happy 4th of July everyone, have a safe, fun and fabulous July with your family. I wish I could be will all of you to celebrate, the fun we would have.

I can not wait to hear how everyone celebrated and if where you are you were able to see the fireworks. Not sure if we will see any this evening as we are getting pretty severe thunderstorms in the evenings but we will see.

God Bless America!

Hugs,
Debbie

Happy Independence day everyone.

Debbie, you looked fantastic for your picnic. I agree with Nancy, I obviously was not dressed as patriotic as you. Hope you had a great time.

Wow Our Mama Hen...you really do go all out for your support of Americana and Patriotism.
I thought I was doing great wearing a 4th of July T-Shirt, with cut offs and sandals.
As I said before my Patriotism is waning over the last 6 years...not because I don't love this Beautiful Country or Support our Troops because I do!... but more because of our Government. Though I know it is still the greatest in The World.

But we had a Great 4th of July...my son and his little family took me to a Great Winery in Troutdale Oregon. You could walk the vineyard, the herb and vegetable gardens, there are 4
Restaurants to eat at (in doors and outdoors)and beautiful flower gardens with benches
to sit a spell and enjoy the birds, birdhouses, bees and flowers. Two weddings were also going on there and the main Building has a Wonderful Gift Shop. It is called Edgefield Brewery.
Years ago it was a Hospital/Nursing Home for the affluent and then it was a Hotel. McMinnimans bought it and turned it into a Wine and Beer Brewery/Hotel. It had a big Veranda with the most awesome old cane rocking chairs on it. And it is even reported to be Haunted. We ate lunch there and I had a glass of Port Wine and Shane had a mixed drink and Sadie had a hard Cider that tasted like Beer. It was just a really fun day...then I came home and watch the New York 4th of July
Special on TV...with all the Patriotic Music and a Grand fireworks display...and I held my dog who freaks out over fire works...for about 4 hours. Larry wasn't feeling good so he took part
in non of it...but it was his choice.

Today the kids and I are going back out to a different Brewery.

Hope You All Had a Fabulous Day!!!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

I had a great day yesterday, I went to the parade in Ferndale and walked in it and then later went across to the neighbors and enjoyed them for a while and went home and later when it got dark I heard some other neighbors shooting off their fireworks and so I went and watched from where my drive way is and while I was standing there I heard some of the big fireworks of the area that was being shot off in Ferndale and I looked that direction and got to see the high ones, I never saw them from home before, I was just standing in the right spot. It was so pretty, so all and all I had a pretty good 4th of July this year.

Wow Debbie! Nice outfit! Well I wasn't as decorated! Since I'm Canadian, in celebration of July 1 (Canada Day) and July 4th - I had a family BBQ on July 5! lol What a great time we all had. I invited a distant cousin to join us, which allowed me to complete my intermediate level of "Know your Roots". Yea, another badge fully completed!

No parade for me. Opt to stay home and get some work done. Both DD and DH are waiting for the fire works. The village of Rouses Points tends to do its celebrations on the Sunday. Sort of nice as you can catch fireworks all weekend somewhere!

Cheers!

Pic of my 'decoration' on my potting bench/balcony area. A nice man in our complex handed out flags to some of us over Memorial Day. My daughter put it up July 4th weekend for us

Was a lightly windy day here on the fourth :)

Hope everyone had an awesome 4th of July. We don't celebrate with the fireworks but we do love grilling and going to friends house for company.
