Our precious Oliver had surgery yesterday morning. They dilated his anus since it was very tiny and did a biopsy of his large intestine. They were hoping the dilation might be the solution we were hoping for. Seeing such a tiny little boy on a respirator and all those tubes is so hard, he hasn't cried since early Monday morning and had hardly opened his eyes. At 2 am this morning my daughter got the call from ICU that he had a full diaper and has had several since. I will never complain about changing this child's stinky diaper. He is becoming more alert, sucking on his pacifier and they have been able to remove his stomach tube as he is starting to expel the gas that has been building up. They are hoping to start him back on milk in the morning if he continues to improve. He biopsy results will be back I tomorrow and than we will know if we are dealing with anything else. I pray not. According to the doctor, this is a common problem in boys, although I had never heard of it.

My daughter and son-in-love came home this afternoon. They needed to see the girls and try to get a little rest. I love having the girls, but it is really hard to juggle everything right now. They will go to the other grandparents this weekend, as I really need to be helping with harvest. I feel Oliver is on the road to recovery and will hopefully be home soon, so will not make the trip to the hospital unless I have to, but once he gets home, my butt is going to be parked on their couch cuddling that baby.

Thank You girls for the many prayers, our prayer thus far have been answered.

If I ever needed farmgirl sisters it is now. Our precious baby Oliver became very Ill Monday, was admitted into ICU Monday night and is having surgery and a biopsy this morning. He is having problems pooping and has undergone many tests so far to try to find answers as to why. I have been dividing my time between the hospital (an hours drive away) and home with the girls, of course we still have harvest to think of now for both us and my daughter and son in law. Please add little Oliver to your prayers girls, I find myself praying so hard at night I have been waking up in the meddle of a prayer. Hopefully we will have some answers today and know more of what's going on.

Julie

A prayer for Little Oliver,

Dear Lord, Please keep little baby Oliver in your arms while he is going through these uncomfortable procedures and surgery. He is just a new and tiny guy of which you have been with since he was born recently and he needs to feel your comforting love around him. Be with the surgeon as he does what is necessary to help little Oliver heal. Please be with his mommy, daddy and grandma while they waiting to see how he is doing, they need you right now as well. I lift them up to you in prayer dear Father and thank you in advance for the healing of little Oliver.
In your precious name
Amen.

Blessings

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done.
Philippians 4:6

Just follow God unquestioningly.
Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.
