Hi gals,
Thank you all for your prayers for us. We made the 5 and a half hr trip up north Sunday morning. The funeral was in the late afternoon so we had time to eat and change. Left right after breakfast this morning and got back about an hour ago. It is much colder there than here. The service was beautiful. Very honoring to God and to my uncle. Saw lots of family. Cousins and such. Now there is only my dad and his sister left. My aunt is in a wheel chair so they made sure she and dad were included in the seating with their family. They were so concerned about the two of them. It really touched my heart that they were thinking of others during a time of their own grief. Their mom had passed on a few years ago. So it was just his children and step children. He had numerous grand children and great grand children. Left them a wonderful legacy.

hugs,
Denise~~

I did sleep well last night Ruth! I feel rested this morning , so....
Today I am going to work on my list. I have apples and tomatoes to dry and I want to get my big quilt rack out and get busy on quilting the 4 tops I have to work on. Been putting that off a long time. Need to do some vacuuming but I should have plenty of time to get lots accomplished.
I also have some Christmas things to get wrapped and get to finishing up that list. I really wanted to be done by the end of this month but with all that has been going on I will do the best I can.

Enjoy your day!

hugs,

Denise...glad that the service was so good and that you got to see so much family.

This past weekend we had a family dinner at The Olive Garden...just to celebrate love and life
of family...and to introduce baby Elijah (my 5 month old grandson) to his Great Aunts and Uncle.

I understand your desire to get Christmas done and wrapped up early too. I have bought some
Christmas gifts and wrapped them already. It feels good to have a good start anyway.

Hope you are rested from your trip.

Hugs,
Peggy

Thank you Darlene.

That sounds like a wonderful way to introduce the new baby to the family Peggy.

Today I have a quilt going in the rack and I am drying apples. The house smells wonderful.
Dad is working on building some small stone houses. Something he thought of and decided to give it a try. I have him set up in his front room with a craft table and I am in the family room with the quilt rack. Going to grab a cup of tea and get started with my needle and thread!

hugs,
