Joan, just saw this, but for next time, hope there isn't one and your safe! best thing is to stay tuned to the radio and pay attention to the wind outside. Get to the inner most part of your home, closet is the best, take pets and flashlight with you! We have had to do this many times, but so far, one never touched down near my home! they are scary! Since they are common here in Spring and now, any time of year! our local TV weather stays on the air till the warning has passed, they give you up to the minute info where the wind is the strongest.

Joan, Connie's advise is great. We listen continuously when there is a threat, they are not to be taken lightly. Lowest part of your home, and in the middle. They are now advising people to wear bicycle helmets to protect you from falling debris. Stay safe! Hugs, Ruth

We were under the tornado watch until 5 pm EST. Head to the basement. I have only been in one tornado that went right down our road. We lived in a different house, same area. Went to the basement with Dh and son. Dd's were sleeping there as we lived in a split level and they had the bedrooms down there. Sounded like a freight train going through. As close as it was the only damage we had was a small tree down that dh and the neighbor couldn't figure out how to remove prior because they didn't want to hit the house or fence. Well I'll tell you that tree came down and it never hit a thing. Just was laying down in the yard when we got up in the morning. God's hand of protection I am sure. If you don't have a basement they say to go the center-most room in the house. I hope all is well by now. The weather is supposed to be beautiful here tomorrow. Praying the storms go through quickly.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done. Philippians 4:6
Just follow God unquestioningly. Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.

Happy to hear all of you are well and the tornado's by passed you. I have lived through many Tornado in my life coming from the Midwest and they are not fun believe me. That is one of the reasons we moved to Colorado and the area we did, hardly ever have a tornado. Take care everyone. Hugs, Debbie
