I have made my decision on "Prairie's" new home.

All of you I know would have a special place in your home and heart for "Prairie" and believe me when I say this was a difficult decision for me as to who's home she would go to. But, I have decided to send "Prairie" home, back to her roots, she will be going back to the Prairie.

"Prairie" will be going to Wichita, Kansas to the Noah Home where I know she will be very happy and loved. And, I think Amber and her family need her too, so I felt is was the perfect fit.

This is what Amber posted:
"well, to be honest there isn't a rustic hearth here for her to cozy up to, or an old lantern to keep her company at night, and her only other handmade companion is traveling around the US as we speak. It's pretty modern here. There is a family that would love her give her a personality, and maybe remind us things should slow down a bit as we run around to gymnastics, dance, and preschool. I'm still trying to teach myself how to sew so I don't own one of these dolls but I'd love to have her."

Thank all of you for sharing your post and stories.

Luv and Hugs,
Debbie

Meet "Prairie" my Scattered Prairie Gal Doll that is looking for a new home. Go to my blog as that is where her picture is, then come back here to the Hen House and tell me why you believe "Prairie" should go to your home. That simple, that's it. I will let you know what city and state she will be going to once I believe everyone who wants her has a chance to comment here. Notice her dress, red, white and blue of course with hearts and flowers. Isn't she the sweetest?
I did not make her (sorry, my sewing machine hates me) but I will embroider a heart on her front with her name, date and the name of our Hen House.
If I like all of the reasons why she should go to a particular home, I will put all the names in my Mama Hen hat and draw.

Third announcement later in the day. Oh it is more fun cleaning when I have all of you to chat with:-)

Luv and Hugs,
Debbie

Prairie is adorable, She would fit right in my living room on my hearth amongst my green plants and the red white and blue Americana. I would love to welcome her to my home.

Those cross stitch towels are nice are you going to cross stitch something, Mama Hen?

Oh I have the perfect chair for her. I have a chair that is probably 70 years old my father in law gave my husband that they both carved the names on when they were young. It is white whats left on it, and cowhide for the seat. She would just love it.

Prarie- what a nice name! I love to collect and make rag type dolls and she would look perfect sitting on my chair next to my bed and she would certainly have lots of company and other dollies to talk to!

"Prairie" is such a cutie :)! I love rag dolls, in fact my very first ragdoll was a little red riding hood topsy turvy doll. when you flipped her upside down she was Grandma. So wish I had her today :(!
Do any of you remember these dolls??? I am older than most, so maybe not.
Just home from a great weekend with my daughters, granddaughters, and new great granddaughter. Happy Grammy :)

Ruth! My Holly had one of those dolls and you flip up the skirt and she was Grandma, and then when you pull up Grandma's hair bonnet it was the wolf's face! I need to look in Holly's toy box, yes! I am a pack rat and still have a lot of my 38 year old daughter's toys! LOL! Hugs! Ruth you brought back a sweet memory for me! it is so hot here and I have been a little under the weather! so Thanks!
