Alright here we go, our August event will be a book swap but we will do it a little different, you know me:-)

You will post a list of the books you wish to swap here, chicks will post which one or ones of your books they would like. First come, first served but, you can post that you would like it after the first who replied and she will send it on to you. You will not send it back to the chick who offered the book. After all the chicks who have wanted a particular book has read it you can donate the book to your local library, goodwill or similar store, another friend or recycle, that's it easy peasy!
Who wants to start and list their's first? I will list my next week, and you may list as many as you want.
I hope I have explained it correctly, any questions let me know.
So, let the swapping begin!

Luv Ya,
Mama Hen

Okay, as the resident bookworm, I will go first. You can look any of these up on Amazon.com for the description. I will list the title and author. Happy Reading!

1. The Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls by Anton Disclafani
2. Island Girls by Nancy Thayer
3. The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
4. Don't Go by Lisa Scottoline
5. Tell Me by Lisa Jackson
6. Gilded Age by Claire McMillan

9. Table for Seven by Whitney Gaskell - TAKEN BY CONNIE :)
10. Monarch Beach by Anita Hughes - TAKEN BY CONNIE :)

And a couple of non-fiction:

1. 2 copies of Altered Art Circus (Techniques for Journals, Paper Dolls, Art Cards and Assemblages) - TAKEN BY DEBBIE AND MARLEE

2. The Little Big Book of Grandmothers (don't ask me why I have this because I'm not a grandmother, but I think I picked it up for the artwork :/

I am happy to send more than one book to the same person. As I finish reading a book, I will post it here! I read a lot!!!!

Here is My List Of Books:
I have only read 3 of the 6...but now I read mostly just from my Kindle. I will asterisk the
ones I have read.

*1. The Inheritance by Louisa May Alcott - Now after 150 years the Alcott family released that first
book that Jo wrote. Hard Cover #188 pages. I really enjoyed it and I hope you will too.

*2.THIS BOOK HAS BEEN TAKEN The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott by Kelly O'Conner McNees this is a fiction book based on a lot
of facts from Louisa May Alcott's personal letters and journals. This is a Hard Cover with #336 pages.

*3.This Book has been Taken The Prairie Girl's Guide to Life by Jennifer Worick. This is how to sew a simple Quilt to 49 other
praire projects. It is Hard Cover with #196 pages.

4.This Book Has Been Taken The Red Leather Diary by Lily Koppel (this is a Victoria Papers Special Book). It is a true story about a lost Journal that was found in a dumpster in The Upper West Side of Manhattan and is eventually returned to the real owner I believe. This takes place in The Flapper Era. This is Hard Cover and has #320 pages.

5. THIS BOOK HAS BEEN TAKENChristmas at The Mysterious Bookshop. This is a book of 17 short Stories written by some well known
authors like Mary Higgins Clark, Anne Perry, Thomas Cook, Michael Malone and others for Otto Penslers
Mysterious Bookshop in New York City. For 23 years he has included one of these Christmas Stories
in each bag when customers have made a purchase in his store. I hear they have become quite collectable
and anticipated every year. This book is Hard Cover and has #245 pages.

6.This Book Taken Alys, Always by Harriet Lane...this is a story about Frances Thorpe (a young woman coming upon the aftermath of a car crash on a bitter winters night). While hearing the final words of the dying driver, Alys Kyte (the wife of a famous Author) Frances agrees to meet the bereaved family...whose life is quite
the opposite of anything Frances has ever known. This is Hard Cover with #208 pages.

Please let me know which ones prick your curiousity...and I will be happy to send them to you.

Hugs from The Book Muse Herself,
Peggy

As Tammy said paperback, hardcover, fiction, non fiction whatever you wish. I am hoping to get my list on Wednesday as I will not be around much today or tomorrow. Oh I need to catch up.
Have been up since 2:15 am as we had to have my niece at the Colorado Springs airport at 5 am and it is over an hour away from our house. I miss her already, the house is so quiet and I wonder what we will do now, I feel like an empty nester again. She was such a joy for us and is such a special young lady, hoping she will go to college next year here and not the east coast as I will miss her so.

Enjoy your day chicks and I will check in again soon.

Luv Ya,
Mama Hen

Connie...I will get number 5 ready to send out to you.

Tammy...I didn't know if you liked old fashioned books or not...but this one is put in modern
times...so, I think you will like it. If not just pass it on to someone else. Just because
we all have books to give away...doesn't mean we will all recieve books that are perfect for us.
There is nothing wrong with saying it wasn't your style...and just pass it on. So, I will send
it off to you.

Sorry to say my very sweet and generous sisters but this time...I can't send extra goodies...the
family birthdays have me Broke with a capital B. Just know lots of love will be tucked in with the
book.

Hugs,
Peggy
