Hi Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse "Chicks",

Thinking of another way we can "connect" to each other that should be easy and simple is:

"TEA for TWO"
- I'll partner you up with TWO Henhouse "chicks" for you to share:

1. A nice card, either purchased or handmade with a lovely note to your partner about what you like about SPRING and/or TEA.
2. A selection of 6 teabags of different varieties that you would like to share.

That's it . . simple & easy. You'll send to ONLY TWO partners
And, let's limit it to the card and teas to keep it simple and easy.

Hoping that you'll want to join in this opportunity to share and care with a couple Henhouse "chicks".

Just post here if you'd like to participate, we'll close signups on the 20th. I'll pick you some "chick" partners . . most likely some you don't spend a lot of time with.

Mail out your tea and cards by APRIL 1st.

Thanks "Chicks"!
CJ

Fun! I'm in. Can it be loose tea with a reusable teabag or other container? I am a big fan of loose teas. (Laurie can confirm this!)
Thank you CJ for coming up with great ways to keep feeling connected to ladies spread out all over.
Take care,
Rain

Yes, Rain . . . loose tea would be great. I should have included that.

So, anyone wanting to do the same . . go for it!
Thanks!

Is it too late to count me in? I think I'm ready to join back in the fun. I was going to wait until after my daughter's wedding on April 6th but this sounds like fun! If this makes the number of participants uneven I don't have to join in.

Kathy

ps. I'll have my granddaughter for 10 days after the wedding so I probably won't get much time on the computer during that time. I don't know why she thinks grandma needs to entertain her the whole time she's here. ;-)

Because she is a child Kathy. At least that is what I tell my self every time my son wants attention while I'm trying to get dinner ready. ha. Enjoy her and be happy you get to spend time and she wants you to do so. I only knew one of my grandmothers.

I had basically no relationship with either of my grandmothers. My paternal GM was a very mean person and treated people ugly, including all of her grandchildren, of which she had many. My maternal GM was a sweeter lady but I saw very little of her and when I did we had to listen to her moan and groan about her life. I was sooooooo grateful my kids had very, very different relationships with their grandmothers. However, that has changed drastically for them in the past few years . . my mom has been gone since February 1994 and my MIL has basically "kicked" me and my kids (her only grandchildren) to the curb. That has been a painful thing to deal with.

Sounds like you have a WONDERFUL relationship with her!!

AND, we are going to include Tammy Cummings in our swap.
She is joining our Henhouse . . .is just waiting for her "key" from Brian.
But she wants to do "TEA for TWO" as well, so I'll include her on the list.
She says, as soon as she gets her "key" she'll be posting her info.

Thanks girls!

I need each of you to reply quickly to those emails that you've received the info.

And, you won't necessarily RECEIVE from the same person, you might but you might not.

Please post here when you've SENT your teas/card and when you RECEIVE.

Just have fun and I hope you enjoy this opportunity to "connect".

I just got back from mailing my letters. They would have gone out yesterday but they wouldn't fit through the little slit they provide for outgoing mail. So today I took them to the big drop box.

I received a lovely card full of tea from Sylvia today. Thank you, Sylvia! My daughter got the mail and was curious to see what was in the envelope. I shared with her so I don't remember all the different kinds but I kept the two different chai ones and a double dark chocolate that I'm excited to try.
