I'm hoping to work on two this month.

1. Families Forever - Intermediate Level and I don't watch a lot of tv so this one should be pretty easy for me.

2. Nellie Will-Do - Beginner Level..I actually already started putting time in this one. I made my daughter PJ's for her dolls for Christmas and now I am planning to sew a few outfits for them. I am close to the 25 hours invested.

How about you?

YAY! Laura you go girl!!

I'm just about to finish up expert level of KNOTTY FARMGIRLS in the OUTPOST Section.
That will qualify me for the SCHOOLMARM badge in OUTPOST.

After that, working on finishing up some in EACH OTHER such as I SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE MOVIES (expert)and COMMUNITY ACTION.

I had decided I'd never get any of the KNITTING, CROCHETING or TATTING Badges since I don't know how to do any of that. But I have decided I'm going to ATTEMPT to learn enough to ATTEMPT to earn at least the beginning badge in each, starting with CROCHET.
We'll see how that goes.

Probably sounds ambitious . . . hmmmmmmmm!
HAPPY "BADGING" FARMGIRLS!
CJ

All,

My merit badge goal for January is simply to apply for the merit badges I finished last summer and fall.

Sincerely,

Rali

To apply for my first merit badge for my crocheted prayer shawl I made for my secret sister Sue Feely. I have taken all the photos just need to fill out the paperwork. Maybe one of my New Year Resolutions should be not to procrastinate:-)
Happy New Years everyone.
Hugs,
Debbie

Here are some badges I hope to get this coming year:

Heirlooms Forever - Intermediate
3 R's Rule - Intermediate
Make It Easy - Light the Way - Beginner
Make It! - Beginner

Whew - I need a nap just looking at all of my goals. Good luck everyone and I can't wait to see what Mary Jane comes up with for January.

Love-

Rusty

We have some very industrious farmgirls! I'm just hoping to return to a peaceful way of life where I have time to look at working on badges.

And, just to remind all of you:

-The books for required reading are available!! Most of them were made available by Rusty, but I believe that they are all out there in the Henhouse. No need to buy them.

-We are here to help each other any time, so if you have questions, are struggling . . or whatever, please ask.

-If you don't know where to start, start with something you KNOW, don't look at all of them. Just pick a few to focus on and then just take your time. It CAN be overwhelming.

-Most of all . . . JUST HAVE FUN with them!

There are a LOT of Merit Badges in our Henhouse, and that is something to CLUCK, CLUCK and CLUCK about!!!!

Now I'm back to trying to learn go crochet . . .
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

I still have the gardening one. I am sorry CJ I haven't mailed it back to Robin. Our post office cut its hours and I seem to never make it when it is open.

I'm trying to finish up my intermediate quilt. I decided to hand stich the top which is taking me a bit of time. whew. After that... Will depend if I go back to work or not. I am working on a crochet project that might qualify for a toy badge. Have to look.

You all are very industrious.

Laurie

I did it! I have my first Merit Badge for Beginner Stitching & Crafting. I am so happy to finally have started earning my badges. I am ready to start working on the next one! For this one I had crochet a Prayer/Friendship Shawl for my Secret Sister in New York. If I knew how to attach a picture I would so you could see it.
