Can you believe that it's already September! Christmas is just around the corner. Has anyone started working on making any gifts? Would love to hear what you are all doing. Maybe we can share ideas and maybe work on the same thing and maybe get a badge completed at the same time. One of my first projects will be an apron. My mother was just saying the other day she'd love to have one. I grabbed that idea right up. There's really nothing that she really needs. So this will be fun to make something she's really wanting. Can't wait to hear any new ideas. Brenda |

I'm going to make aprons for my sisters and some dishcloths for my sister-in-laws but that is as far as my planning has gotten!

I'm not working on gifts yet but I am working on a Christmas redwork embroidery piece that I plan to display at my church's Festival of the Nativity. I've already finished a Nativity wall panel and a cross-stitched piece I will display, also. The wall panel I may donate to my church.

Most of my Christmas gifts we bought while we traveled. I am working on a quilt for a cousin. It has a story like no other later. Lilly

I relearned how to crochet, nothing fancy or hard, but I've made some hats for DD and DSIL they hunt alot and I found some camo yarn. I was thinking of making one of those for my gson whose in the army to wear under his helmet. Does anyone have a simple crochet pattern for mittens and a scarf? My granddaughter who's 11yrs found me a Bedazzler at a gragage sale so I need to make something with that. Connie

i've got 4 hats made so far and only 6 more to go. Today I went to town to buy fabric for aprons, pot holders and cloth napkins for Christmas. The weather people say showers and cooler weather moving in, so I'll be cutting out and sewing and work in some crocheting. Connie

Is everyone about to finish up on their Christmas gifts? I just finshed a long bib, just made up a pattern, for mom. She is always getting something on her top. So made it where the straps just lay over her shoulders. Didn't think she'd be able to tie or snap it. I think this will work out for her. We could even fold up and take with us when we go out. I now need to get a pair of pj's for her made. So I'll be at the sewing machine for awhile. Hugs, Brenda
