I just put up 12 pints of pears and also now have 6 pints of peaches put up in the freezer. Whew! I'm beat, but I'll be glad I did this in the winter months. Next, I may make some jam or jelly.

Niiice! I'm looking forward to getting some apples this fall. I'd like to try a recipe for "apple pie in a jar".

So I tried to make some grape jelly using MaryJanes chillover powder. Let's just say it was interesting!
I purposedly didn't add lots of sugar cause I wanted to keep the natural grape taste. It look a while to 'jell' but it finally did after it sat a day or two.
My kids are calling it the pepto-bismal jelly, cause that's what it looks like. A nice bright pink!
I'll be interested to see how it keeps.

It sounds good, did you also water bath it? I'm going to make some strawberry jam or preserves (not sure which yet) this weekend sometime or the first of next week (A small batch about 6 jars).
