I know, I know, we are just starting the first one. I am putting this out there for all of you whenever you think of an idea you might want us to do. Just to have a place to make a quick note when you see something or have a great idea, now we all have a common "notebook" so to speak. Just post it and we'll see how everybody feels about it. Please do check out "An Embroiderer's Blessing" that I posted about somewhere else, can't remember where, from Crabapple Hill. www.crabapplehillstudio.com It is #248, so cute. I saw it done up at a craft shop. If it is not something you all like that's ok, I am doing it either way, already bought it, but if you like it we can do it as a group! either way I'm happy! I do have some ideas also for some Christmas ornaments or gift tags. Really cute too! Fun to do and quite portable since they are small. I'll write more on that later. Mostly because right now I can't remember the name of the website, but I'll remember it right when I am in the middle of pulling weeds or something where I can't write it down, you watch!!!! |

Yaaaay, I was hoping you would like it. I saw it in person and it is beautiful!!!! If everybody else likes it or the majority then maybe we can do it as our next project. Then, I was thinking of something seasonal, an autumn pillow or wallhanging and then some Christmas ornaments or gift tags. Tons of ideas just waiting for you all! |

I got the pattern for the Embroidery Blessing. I am thinking that it would make a lovely front for a project totebag. What do you think of that as a project?

That's a cute idea. It will be interesting to see if everyone wants to do the sampler. I know a few of us love it, so we'll wait and see how they all respond! I hope they love it too, but either way I'm doing it!!

So far I am hearing you like the Embroiderer's Blessing. Any other opinions out there? I have heard a cute idea on putting it on a tote bag to keep projects in. You can put it on anything you like really, a tote, a pillow, a quilt center, a mini fabric wallhanging without frame, or framed in a picture. Let me know what you think!

I can't find the pattern for an Embroider's Blessing. I would love to do it if I can find it. All of your ideas sound great to me. Donna

Donna, Go to Crabapple Hill's website, I think it is Crabapplehillstudio.com. On there go to patterns. Click on spring, summer, and floral. It is on page 3. It is really sweet. I like old fashioned stuff though, and it just feels kinda vintagey retro to me. Let us know how you like it!

Okay, I received the pattern and it is too wide for a tote bag. If you want to do a tote, you will have to reduce it. I also ordered the floss from a company in West Valley City, Utah. The pattern calls for Weeks Dye Works floss and I could not find a DMC or JP Coates conversion chart for this brand. This really is a beautiful pattern and I'm excited to start work on it. If I start work on it now, I might get it finished by the time all of you get it finished.

I think am going to do it as a sampler and frame it. I'll hang it in my sewing room, or near my favorite chair where I like to embroider by the window. One or the other, but it is so cute!
