You probably did Denise - I was just making an example of how messed up the mail is.

Sherry Buck’s Recipe swap package arrived today, perfect timing. She sent recipe for Irish Scones and a story that goes with it. A sweet book by Julia Child which I am looking forward to reading.
I have emailed Sherry to tell her the package arrived and to thank her.

Big Hugs,

Wanda Sue - I mailed recipes to you & Karen just over a week ago, so hopefully you will receive some Farmgirl mail soon. Just wanted you to know that I hadn’t forgotten about you. The joys of international post!! The timing is always a lucky dip it seems.

Cindy I received your package today all the way from Australia. She included several of her favorite recipes that sound delicious. Also the cutest hand towel with farm scene, and chocolates! I am excited to try the Tim Tam Slam I have heard about. Thank you Cindy for being so generous, I love everything.

What a score! The stone I gained honeymooning in Oz was TimTams and flat whites...

Speaking of weight loss, I chuckled opening Jami's recipe for *Prune Cake* this morning! I had been wondering what I could use my pantry prunes and Crisco shortening for. Our stone fruit "orchard" side yard is in full flower and reminding me of cherry blossom childhood in D.C, so more prunes are coming soon! Both my swaps are accounted for now.

Wanda Sue - I'm so pleased that your parcel finally arrived. I hope you enjoy some delicious chocolate goodness all the way from Australia. Let me know if you get a chance to try any of the recipes too!!
Christine - I'm pretty sure it was the Tim Tams & Flat whites that convinced my husband to move back to Australia

They seemed to be the most popular coffee style in Sydney and Brisbane... Espresso with a bit less steamed milk than a full latte. They wouldn't ship well, but if *you* didn't ship well, they are excellent for jet lag!

Jami, you convinced me!

My improvised bundt pan needs a rethink but the salvage is so tasty it is fueling tomorrow's run-bike workout.

Dearest April - thank you so much for the recipe swap parcel that arrived in our mailbox this week. I loved reading the article that you included entitled "Cookbooks hold more than recipes". It reminded me of my Grandmother's collection of recipes that I was blessed to inherit when she passed away. The "marked-up, dog-eared, grease-splattered cookbooks" - that describes my Grandmother's recipes perfectly!! She had recipes written on the back of envelopes, in exercise books, on receipts, you name it!! It was a fun adventure to sort through them. They truly are the greatest treasure (as described in the second article that you included). Thank you for these beautiful reflections... &, of course, for the recipes!! I can now add them to my treasure chest of marked-up, dog-eared, grease-splattered cookbooks!!
Missing you heaps...

Yes Denise, crazy huh? Our mail system is getting worse and worse! I mailed a priority birthday box to my sister on the 20th. It was to get there on the 24th. It just got to her April 1st!! Needless to say, I'm asking for a refund. I've never done that but I'm going to start holding them accountable. I'm sorry
