I agree about being older with drivers licenses, Judith. I was oldest and I had to fight to get mine. My brother was taken by my dad to get his on his 16th birtday! and He would always get the keys when asking last minute, when I had asked a week before. And then he'd go where he wasn't supposed to go and my dad would just laugh. GRRRRRRRRRR

My grandchildren gave these to me yesterday. My little Violet is such a love. She is the kindest, most generous 7 year old I know. She is always thinking of ways to do things for others. I wasn't feeling well on the 4th so didn't go to her dad's birthday dinner and she wanted to make me feel better. Of course they couldn't come when I was sick so they were all 4 here for a few hours yesterday while their mom had a dr. appointment so brought the flowers then.

Denise, your flowers from your Granddaughter are beautiful and a real uplift since you were not feeling well July 4. I hope you are better now!

We always started school the week before Labor Day. We had a 3 day week then 4 days due to Labor Day. It was nice to go places as soon as school was out and it wasn't as crowded.
I am flying to Chicago tomorrow for Pampered Chef conference. Then August 1 we are going to Lancaster, Pa. to see Daniel at the sight & Sound theatre. Staying one night then going to the Green Dragon farmers market which is Friday's only. You know what I will be doing after that. Canning marathon!
Nothing else planned, we have too many projects we want to do at home.

Andrea, you will not be disappointed in Daniel. We saw it in May. It was our first time there and it was spectacular. We are going next to see Noah. It will be the 35th anniversary of that one. I'm looking forward to it!

Andrea - Stay safe on your trip. Chicago has had 2 days of derecho wind storms. Have fun at your Pampered Chef conference.

Linda,
we have been having some of the derecho wind storms also. That was what pulled a tree up and put it on our trailer our daughter was living in when we were in NJ. Can't remember what year that was. Thankfully no one was hurt. It went right across the middle of the trailer.

I suppose this weather has to do with the La Nina pattern
