Does anyone know of a way to get rid of earwigs organically? Aside from wetting newspapers, rolling them in tubes, and laying them in the gardens? We have them everywhere this year.

Karen :)

I will be interested too on how to deal with them. They always make me shiver when they pop out of something, even the lid to my garage door opener! My son has a car cover and every time he takes it off in the morning it is full of earwigs. Ugh!

I have no idea what earwigs are. We may have them in Texas but call them something else.

Here is a picture. They are usually about 1/2 an inch or so long. They are just freaky.

They are creepy and will chew on plants. To their credit though, they eat aphids.

Thanks for the picture, Karen. Don't think I have seen one. If I did, I think I would remember that pincher thingy on the backend.

I agree Karen. There is just a huge icky factor when it comes to earwigs. I wish I knew a way to get rid of them. They are always hiding under rocks I need to move. My garden pest this year is Daddy Long Legs. They are icky too, but I am content with them over squash bugs, so they can stay.
