No. No. Marlene,
Barbie is a friend of mine who has been doing a non-Farmgirl envelope swap for many years. I just thought I'd pass on information about her swap if anyone might be interested. Just ignore that if you are not interested.
I will post the Junk Journal swap partners later this week. Hope you are having fun with this project.

I totally agree Nancy Jo! The little journals are exquisitely constructed! I've been slowly relishing it and turning it over and over! I just learned a new way of putting a little journal together! Jean, wow, you truly have spent a LOT of your time and money on this one! The tidbits of junk ephemera are fun. You definitely have to use some creativity to construct! These papers tho....(love) thank you again!

Yaaaaaay. The last packages are going out to the Post Office today. Now I can concentrate a bit more on my online 5-Day Accordion bookmaking class. I am on Day 3 and really do enjoy all the cool things I am learning. Can't wait to share the fruits of my labors with y'all.

In the meantime here's a little JUNK JOURNAL CHALLENGE for you. How about hiding a picture of yourself somewhere in your creation? It can just be a wee head shot hidden in the middle of a collaged page, or some fun pix you have had taken sometime. I'm having trouble trying to choose what to use . . . what do you think? The vote is now open. LOL

Jean I love all of your pics, but choose #2 as well. Also, my informed delivery says my package was delivered today, but I am away from home until Saturday. I can’t wait to get back home and get started on my junk journal!!! Thank you so much for stirring up all of this fun and excitement!

I have been introduced to some new artists in the 5-Day Book Challenge I have been taking online this week. The two artists that I have really liked the best so far are
Andrea Chebelew -- www.aworkofheart.com
Kat Kirby -- www.katkirby.com
Check them out for some great junk journal embellishing ideas.
hugs,

Jean, I see that my package arrived although we are on our way to Grangeville, ID to spend a couple of weeks helping Mom and Dad and working on the property. When I return it'll be top of my to do list!

Still tweaking mine. I seem to do a little more each day. Seem to have it on the brain because last night I dreamed of something else to do. I guess my creativity likes to flow in even then.

My, oh my, what a non-stop week this has been. First and foremost, I was able to get all the packages for this swap done and to the Post Office. Most of them have arrived and the last few are trickling in. After that, I had to clean up the hellacious mess I had made so I could start on my next mess. LOL.

Then I participated in a 5-Day Accordion Book making challenge online. Awesome class. I learned how to make 5 different books and also learned some new embellishing techniques. The first day was an 8-pocket accordion style booklet. I made 8 little gnomes for each pocket and then got the hair brained idea to write my own fairy tale about the little guys. That has been great fun. I wanted to get caught up on laundry and some housie stuff today, but I made the mistake of going to the studio first. I started playing around with some Adult Coloring Book pages I had using some of the new watercoloring techniques I just learned. The pages looked like they would make good book covers but they were a little thin. Sew I sewed two pages together back to back with a black zig zag stitch and added some "bling". I was really pleased with the way they turned out and have enough stuff to make several more. Whew . . . but the laundry still awaits me.

Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for this swap and then I will post partners on the 31st. Woo Hoo. Hope y'all have been having fun with this project. Try the above -- sewing a couple of pages together just for fun. Or even take several pages and punch holes all around the outside and then lace some yarn through the holes. That's a fun way to use up several pages all at once.

And, oh yes, the vote seems to be unanimous for #2 (see previous post)

I have been having so much fun with this. As I have gone along I have found different things to do and now am trying to figure out how to change some things that I did in the beginning.

Jean, that sounds so awesome! A couple years ago I watched many of Nik the Booksmith's videos on how to make all kinds of journals! Shes brilliant! Your gnomes sound flipping adorable! Post?? I'm not sure of what I enjoy the most, the making of the bare journal or all the ephemera! I think both have a different euphoria about the process. Agreed? And sewing on paper...as joyful as dying to me! Thank you again for the enormous amount of time, resources and money! Really....such a ginormous heart of gold!

Right there with Nancy Jo, never have been fond of clowns!! :/ yikes

Happy weekend everyone! **
