Linda, I guess you could purchase a long arm quilting machine. Then you could quilt your own,and if you wanted you could start a business!

I looked the long arm quilting machine up and are they expensive. We have a couple of Mennonite ladies here that will do them by hand. I have been thinking of seeing about having them do one for me sometime.

The Longarm machines are very expensive - $10-15,000 for good ones. And I would be scared to do someone else's quilts for fear of ruining them if the machine messed up. At $.015 a square inch it is cheaper to have someone do it for me. A large queen size quilt only costs around $150 or less and I can get a lot of them quilted for the price of a Longarm. Plus the machines take up a lot of space; they almost need their own room.

I am decorating for Fall - we have a couple days in the high 80s, a lot better than the 100s it has been. Maybe the decorations will help it feel like fall.
