I'm sure you have been gifted a bottle of wine all dolled up in seasonal attire or in a decorative "Wine Bottle Bag". Wouldn't it be fun to create and share one that has been uniquely designed by you?
For this swap create an attire, or a bag, for a wine bottle (or milk bottle) from any type of material you enjoy working with. It can be fun, formal, botanical or seasonal.
Sign ups until August 29th, partners posted by the the 31st and mail by September 10th. No need to ship the bottle, either full or empty. A short note describing what inspired you to dress your bottle would be fun.

Linda and Cristy, could you make an apron for the bottle. Similar to the whole aprons we used to make and swap? It would need to be longer. Then you could make a little chefs hat for the top of the bottle...perhaps for the lid or cork???

I have been mulling (get it,,, 'muled wine'... lol!).. over what to make,,, but 1st I need to do some wine tasting so I can have a empty bottle to use as my 'model'. ..

Grace - is this the pattern you found? It is a flyer from Clover, the company that makes the different yoyo makers. If anyone wants a copy, just let me know and can send it.
I found it today when going through some boxes.

Speaking of Wine bottles... an empty one makes a cute light fixture...
I actually found this one at a quaint shop on one of my Idaho Glamping trips..
a small hole was drilled into the back side of the bottle and the little red string of lights was fed through.. It actually looks cuter in dim light,,, like around a cute vtg. trailer in the evening.. heeheehee,,, just saying...

Well, Ida, I see you're a newbie around MJF-- me too. So I'll bite the bullet and join you for this swap. Got a couple of ideas. And Linda, I would love a copy of the yo-yo pattern. Don't have any yo-yo's lurking around but I do have a box full of fabric folded flowers that might make up really cute with the same basic pattern. . . orphan quilt blocks, too . . . . now I'm on a roll. How fun. And, Katmom, let me know next time your heading Idaho way for a Glamping trip.
