Theresa -- Too funny! It looks like you had those injections :-)
Love the little leaf quilt behind you.

Linda - thanks for the link. I saved it and will have to start saving my edges rather than pitching them. I love how your quilt is turning out. I love the Raggidy Anne and Andy quilts too!

Great job Teressa!!

That mask is too funny!

Judith, Thank you. It was a commitment. Don't think I will ever try it again, especially a king size. LOL OMG, I hadn't thought of injections on the lips of those masks, but you are right it does! LOL My sister made me that little quilt to go with a cross stitch my friend made me. I just love both!

Heather, Thank you. I am hoping to put a smile on other faces as there are so many things to be sad about right now.

Oh Theresa, the mask is just hilarious. Is it your own design or is there a pattern for it? My son would love to have one of these. I have been making masks now since March . . . . passed the 300 mark a week or so ago. Taking a little break to finish up a small round robin quilt right now.

Jean, sorry to say that the masks are not my own design. I bought the material from https://bylisabee.com/product-category/face-mask-panels/ her site is under construction right now but should be back on line soon. She has a facebook page that will keep everyone updated on reopening. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ByLisaBee/.

Wow 300 masks. You deserve a break! Great work.

Heather - I always cut my selvages off with at least 1/2" of the fabric pattern past the woven selvage edge, usually more. Most of mine are cut 1-1/2" from outside edge of selvage. That way, when using them, the quilt is more colorful.

Linda - I'll start doing that! I can't believe with all the stuff I save thinking "I'll find something to do with this" that I never thought to save the fabric edges. Your quilt and the picture of one Theresa posted look wonderful! I bet some mug rugs and potholders would be a good place to start since I don't have a stash saved up.

Heather -

I have made a vest, a tablet case, a pin cushion, and several other things. Definitely start with smaller projects. Mug rugs and pin cushions would be super starter projects. I'll try to find the pictures. I did just find a cute denim and selvage bag on Pinterest I want to make.

When the selvedge sewing first started I made the conscious decision to not save them. I save too much. I save 1 inch strips and 1 ½ squares. I have a friend who is happy to get any selvedge pieces I cut. She made pretty name card holders for all 20 of us at a retreat with them. I'll post a picture if I can remember where I put it.

I save selvages; squares 1, 1-1/2, 3, 3-1/2, 4, 4-1/2, 5, 6-1/2; strips 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2; and scraps. I love scrappy quilts. Not very diligent with the squares.

I've made 6 or 7 postage stamp quilts with the 1 1/2 and 2 inch squares. It's usually one of my hand crank projects up at the trailer each year.

Judith, I have a postage stamp quilt my grandma made. It needs repair but that might take me a bit. I didn't know when I got it that that was what it was called.

The name fits -- little pieces the size of postage stamps.

This one is even worse. I made it when I was a hunting widow for 6 weeks. I named it Inanity 5760 because I must have been crazy to do it and that's how many pieces are in it. I used my one inch scraps. The pieces were 1 inch by 2 inches. It actually got an honorable mention and 3rd place viewers choice at the show. At least it kept me out of trouble while DH was gone.

Oh my goodness, Judith, "Insanity 5760" is amazing. I can't believe you made it in 6 weeks. A project like that would have taken me 6 years or more. It is just spectacular.

I work on this blanket made of crochet and knit dishcloths I have received from Farmgirls mostly while watching TV.

Interesting idea Marie -- I would never think of doing that. I like that one with the star in the center -- to pretty to use as a dishcloth..

I believe that all these are too precious to me to be used as dishcloth. I have used some for the intended purpose and it became faded and grey. I felt so bad that I decided to save them for this project.

Marie, I would have never thought to do that. What a great idea. Looking forward to the finished blanket. It will be beautiful.

Judith, Holy milk cow, I'd be blind by the end of that project. It is beautiful.
