Hi Farmgirls,
Pity party table for one...
I have been missing here the last week or so. I am usually so healthy, but I got the crud that is going around and was hit HARD. It's been a long time since I was so sick. I was hanging out with my best gal pal, who forgot to mention she wasn't feeling well. My dd and I both got sick. DD and my friend were sick but better in about four days. Me? OMG. Started with the worst headache in my entire life. Then a fever of 104. Lots of fun when you are an adult. Well, it progressed, and I ended up with a nasty case of bronchitis. Finally made it to the doctor, after a week, because I knew I wasn't getting any better. Body aches, and fever, and a nasty sore throat. But the worst part is the cough. All day. All night. Anyway, the doctor felt it started as the flu and since my dd and my bff who is a second grade teacher are always around lots of kids and people, theirs passed quickly and mine evolved. My friend and neighbor who is a pharmacist says they are seeing tons of this stuff. Today was the first day I feel and look somewhat normal. No fever now for about 24 hours. Taking my antibiotic and pretty much feel okay except for that darn cough.
On the upside, I did indulge in a Superman movie marathon with dd. We watched Superman, Superman II, Superman III, Superman IV (didn't know it existed, course I was in high school then), and Superman Returns. Yup, couch potatoes we were. She was fine by the weekend. I am drinking tons of fluid. Any natural remedy advice you want to pass me as well? I am finding tea with honey is easy on my throat.
Don't you hate getting sick like that? I am so behind...[xx(
Amazing as it is, my dh has dodged this nasty stuff. Maybe he is immune since he works with the public. Keep your fingers crossed he stays healthy!
Post your remedies here. Love you, farmgirls!

Hope you are truly on the road to recovery at last. Don't worry about what needed to get done, I'm sure it will wait for you! It always works that way for the mom.
Take care of you so you can have a full recovery.

I finally! feel better this week. This stuff took FOORRREVVER to get rid of. The cough lasted over six weeks! I started to think I had the plague of some sort, lol. I think I never take time to really rest so maybe that is why it lagged on. So much stuff going around. Half my daughter's school is out for one reason or another. Can't wait for spring!
Thanks for the prayers. Love you all. XOXO
