I agree Joyce. The closer I get the more excited I am getting. But I'm still super nervous as well.
I wouldn't worry about informing your students. That's just more stress for you that you don't need.

Hey everyone! It's been awhile and I'm checking in to see how everyone is doing.
Nicole, any updates on the house?
Joyce, how is your busy schedule coming along?
How is everyone else?

Things here have been going pretty good! Just staying busy like always. There hasn't been to much new going on for us. I did come across a study the other day saying that the shorter the interval between pregnancies the greater the chance of delivering early. It said that if the interval is 12 months or less then you have a 50 percent chance of delivering at 37 weeks or sooner. So I decided I am going to talk with my doctor today at our appointment and see how my odds are looking. Kind of freaks me out. Hoping for the best!

Update: the doctor isn't concerned because everything is still looking good. He did say that I do have a chance of delivering early but if I do he doesn't see a problem with it. Just shooting for at least 37 weeks!

Krista, I'm glad the doctor isn't concerned and things are looking good. It sounds like you're in good hands and have a healthy baby!

The house buying is moving along. It's a slow and stressful process, but we're getting through it. We hope to close the end of October or beginning of November still. I can't wait to get settled in so I can start my UFO badge, lol. I have so many projects that have built up and been forgotten about since the move out of the city. I mostly just want to get organized because I've felt so unsettled for so long. Things are getting better and I keep trying to stay positive. As much as I love my in laws, it's really hard to live in someone else's house when you've been out on your own for a while. I'm so grateful they opened their home to us, but it's time to move on :)

Thanks Nicole. I'm glad to hear everything is coming along nicely. Can't wait for you to get moved in and all settled. It will help you feel better and get back on track! You will also enjoy getting some of your unfinished projects done. Don't forget to share some of them!

Krista - so glad that your doctor isn't worried.

Nicole - it's so nice that your in-laws took you guys in. But I can completely understand that you feel the need to get out on your own again :)

Things are going well here - still feeling a bit swamped, but hopefully I'm slowly coming out of it. I did all the fall yard clean up last week, and got the garden and flower beds ready for winter. One more big thing off of my list. I shall be happy for winter, and I hope I will have time to sew and work on badges again :)

Joyce, you do sound really busy. I bet it will feel nice for you when you can finally sit down and work on your badges! I'm hoping to get my garden ready for winter here in the next couple of weeks!

I have been busy this week trying to check things off my to do list. Its getting smaller which is nice! This Sunday we will be doing family pictures and I'm super excited to see how they turn out. It's suppose to rain Sunday so I hope it holds off until after pictures. We also cut Tilton's hair this week since he was starting to get a mullet! I cried because I miss his long hair but he looks so much better!

Joyce, thank you for asking! I'm not exactly sure how they look yet because I haven't seen them, but it was kind of a mess. We had to leave our initial spot because the weather was so bad. We ended up in a family members barn to attempt the rest. It was so cold outside and the wind was blowing really hard and this barn is open. My poor son was so cold he kept shivering and crying. We finally gave up. So on Tuesday I took my son back out to attempt some more pictures. He did so good and the weather was better. We were not able to do any more with my husband because he is out of town. But I am getting really excited to see how they turned out! We even took pictures of him in his Halloween costume.

I agree Alicia! The pictures that always turn out the best are the ones created with a disaster!
Joyce, I can't either. I keep checking my email to see if she has sent a sample one. Our photographer is my SIL and she typically sends me one to hold me over tell she finishes the rest but I haven't received one yet. I know she is busy with a new baby so I totally understand! But I still feel impatient sometimes! Once we get one back I will share it with you all!

My kiddos had juicy colds, so not too much Halloween goings- ons. We have "Halloween Movie Night" every year, something I started with Isabelle when she was young. We have a special dinner, homemade caramel sauce and apples, popcorn, and Butterbeer (of Harry Potter fame). We watched Hocus Pocus this year.

I finally heard from Shannon today! I will admit I was getting worried. It has been 2 and a half weeks since she and her family camped out at our cabin with us. Apparently her phone didn't work in WY. lol!! She she got a new one and sent me a text. Still no internet at the house she said. They have had a few bumps, but they are home!

My November will be busy with moving and unpacking. We were supposed to close on 11/2, but on Halloween we were notified that we couldn't close then because the radon mitigation wouldn't be complete. So, now I'm supposed to close on 11/9 and we hope to get everything out of the storage unit on the 19th. I said I just want to have everything in the house by Thanksgiving, so it looks like we're on track for that! I can't wait for us to get in so I can show you all some pictures. The yard is absolutely HUGE for being so close to downtown and we plan on having a chicken coop and large garden back there :) I promise I'll get caught up and do more than just stop by quickly every month as soon as I get a home base again!

Also, not sure if there are baseball fans here, but I come from generations of Cubs fans and we're all pretty happy right now, GO CUBS GO!

I just found out my aunt passed away. We weren't especially close, but she was my mom's little sister. My mom isn't taking it well, at all. I am sure no one in the family is. Everyone is still at the hospital. She and her husband had a deer run in front of them on their motorcycle. They say my aunt, Angie, never felt anything. Scott, her husband is in ICU. Could I ask for some prayers of peace, please?
