It has been windy and cold (60's during the day and low 40's at night) the last two days here in Southern California. Winter is starting to settle in here.

Tomorrow ends our return to summer weather here in the Chicago area. I will miss these mid to upper 70's days of sunshine and spectacular colors but I am ready for the true November weather to stick around. Hope everyone has had a gorgeous autumn!

Grace---this do sound bad. I dread when it gets cold here---but we are having beautiful sunny days here---about 70. No bad cold weather in sight. We are finishing up our outdoor work. No rest for the wicked.

The wind last night! Shook the house, thought I heard some trees breaking. Today was windy again but not quite as bad. Tomorrow possible snow showers. Blah! Sounds like tea time :)

It rained here most of the night. It is hunting season for deer and I think if the hunters are going to get a deer they should work for it Today is windy and in the high thirties. The clouds are low but not as low as the mountain tops. They are moving quickly.

I would like some snow. If we can not have pretty flowers or pretty leaves we should have pretty snow.

I see pretty pictures of snow all over the Farm but no snow here it's just cold. 29 feels like 22 - Chance of rain tonight and tomorrow so if it happens that means sleet and ice.

Windy today! Brr! We've had snow once but it didn't stay long for the rain washed it all away.

Windy yesterday and today - warm temps for late December in Minnesota, no snow, which makes me sad. I would like a white Christmas. Still a few days, so there is hope.

A little late posting. We had 2 feet of snow last week. Has warmed up just a little bit so it has shrunk some. Now it's supposed to rain for Christmas.

Snow in the forecast for this afternoon and overnight, some forecasters say high winds, blizzard conditions and 6 to 8 inches. I do want a white Christmas but am concerned for travelers. Hopefully we will get some snow without the wind. Time will tell. Merry Christmas!

59 this morning - hi of 70 - and we are under a wind alert. Temps to drop below freezing tonight so winter is on it's way back in my part of Texas.

It has been in the 40's and 50's here lately, but today the temperature was 20. Brrrrrrrr. It's not snowing and that is a good thing. I like it when the sun shines.

It's the 23rd of Jan and northeast Texas has seen a mild winter. Feb is to come so we'll see what it brings. So far no ice storms - that makes me very happy.

Glad you are avoiding the ice storms Sara. Hopefully you won't get any for the rest of the winter. Ice is the worst, we did get a lot of ice between snows earlier this month which have made hiking pretty treacherous. We have beautiful sunshine and 7 degrees this morning here west of Chicago. They say lots of snow is headed our way for the next 3 days. I am heading out the door to hike before the storms hit!

Stay warm and enjoy the winter everyone!

Here in northeast Texas it's going to feel more like spring today than the next to last day of Jan. Hi 70 - lite rain - wind advisory.

We've had very gusty winds for 3 days but it has finally let up. Made the temps of 30s feel like the teens. I can't take the wind, makes it hard to keep the house warm. We haven't had any snow to speak of. Nothing that stayed more than a couple hours. I think it only snowed once this winter. Still cold here. I am ready for some spring weather and warm air.

hi of 53 today - 20 degrees colder than yesterday - 18 by next Fri - Winter is edging it's way back into northeast Texas. It'll be our first hard freeze for this year. One hard freeze in 2020 - so far it's been a mild winter.

This is what we woke up to this morning. Hard to believe I had grilled on Friday night. We have about a foot of snow so far on the ground and they say 2-4"s today. Really beautiful, heading out to build a snowman and shovel!

It started snowing around 11am Sunday. I think it is finally done. We have over 2 feet which isn't much considering it stopped this morning (Wednesday). Tomorrow is supposed to be around 38 degrees so maybe some will melt then Friday a snowy mix and colder again. The river was already high with big ice chunks so probably good that it will be cold again. I'm not in a flood zone but only about a mile from the river. Really looking forward to spring.
