Today was a perfect day for hiking. It was in the 60's and sunny. I took Jaxon to a state park and he got all excited at seeing the other hikers and their dogs. So we didn't hike too much. I pruned my blackberry brambles for winter and it was just a perfect day. supposed to get in the 30's tonight but I like it cold, not so many allergens to contend with.

It is cool and blustery here in Minnesota. The air has a warmish feel to it and the wind rattles the leaves.

Marie, Living here in West Tn, we don't see snow much! So when it snows or ices, everything closes down and we play in it! My Daughter, Holly is a Ed. Rep. for a Salon Color Company and she came to Minneapolis for the first time last in Oct. and she fell in love with it! She said, Oh it is so great to wear hats and sweaters and boots! She rented a bike and sent me a picture of her in her hat and coat and boots! LOL! Since she loved the cold so much they gave her Wisconsin and New York salons too. She is in Heaven! She has lived here all her life ,except 2 years in LA. So she just loves the cooler temps.

I love Minnesota too. The lakes, the people, the wildly changing weather. Actually, I would find something to love where ever I am. The last post was supposed to be a joke but I guess it fell kind of flat.

We had some snow last night which stuck to the ground. It will be gone as the sun comes out. I am always amazed at the light reflected up from the snow. It creates such a comfortable glow.

Marie, there was no snow at the airport or anywhere else in my area. I have no difficulty seeing the airport because I live practically on top of it. It's fun looking for my house when I fly out. Beautiful area in SE Washington State.

Believe it or not, we're having "real" Chicago November weather today: Rainy, getting colder, and finishing out around 40-ish degrees. At least all the leaves that have fallen overnight in the wind made a gorgeous blanket on the ground!

We still have some snow hanging around in the shady spots. We have not gotten to freezing yet. I did hear a flock of geese leave last night.

Winter is slowly easing her way upon us here in the Great Columbia Basin. My walks with the neighbors and "peanut" their pooch bring on a very runny nose. However, since I will be going to California sometime soon, I am looking forward to the warmer weather--probably will make it hard to come home.

No Snow for the foreseeable future. I don't like to travel in the winter when the plane has to be de-iced.

The temperatures are becoming quite chilly here. Temperature is 18 degrees. I see frost on my breath. My dog took a quick walk tonight because it was so cold.

Getting chilly here. we might get a dusting of snow tonight. Supposed to be in the 20's tonight, the teens tomorrow night. Not sure I'm ready for this! I really don't mind the cold---but the wind, that's another story.

Beautiful, warm, sunny and clear. The perfect autumn day for a sweater while on a walk around the lakes. Cold in the shade and warm in the sun. A perfect day.

We are having yucky freezing rain. It is not all bad though, we got to snuggle under blankets, watch movies and drink hot chocolate!

Today was warm. I saw the downtown temperature at 28 degrees. Still, the friend I was with at the time was complaining about the cold. Some peoples kids!

Snow came down yesterday afternoon. If it had been warmer, it would have been a real drencher. We received about an inch of heavy, fluffy, wet snow that made commutes on the highway very interesting indeed.

Here in the Columbia Basin we had 28 deg. and a skiff of snow this morning. It is supposed to warm up. However, toward the end of the week it will be very cold and down to the single digits at night. I'm so looking forward to seeing Southern California and its warm weather.

Freezing rain/snow started yesterday and will last through today. We may receive between 5 and 7 inches in Minneapolis when it is all done. The temperature is right around 30 degrees and there is no wind. Tomorrow the temperature may be as low as 10 degrees. This will probably stay.

The temperature here is a balmy -9 degrees with a breeze so there is some sort of wind chill. I took this picture this week in downtown Minneapolis looking up at the iconic IDS Tower. The sky is always so clear and blue after a snowstorm.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRR High of 29 today here in West Tennessee! We are not use to this! but lucky we just got 1/2 inch of ice from the storm going East! We have a chance of another 1/2 inch of ice tonight! Every once in a while, maybe once a winter ,we get sleet, or ice and rarely pretty SNOW!
