Debbie, I love your flour sack towel embroidery! What a good idea to do them in all one color! It really brings out the accent colors on the towel. Can you tell me where you got the Northwoods Lodge patterns? I am just starting to do woodland animals for pillows.

Hi Mary, I got the towels and the Northwoods Lodge Patterns at Hobby Lobby, just wish I could find more of this type patterns as I just love them.
Let me know if you can not find the Patterns, I can pick up a packet for you the next time I go to Hobby Lobby.
Hugs,
Deb

I would love to learn to embroider. I dont have anyone in my family though that does it. I guess I could try to self-teach myself but that is not as much fun! Great job girls!

This is what I did today - it's so nice to sit and spin on such a pretty color when it's all dark and gray and cloudy.

I finally got descent pix of the baby blankets I make. They are made of fleece, with ribbon over the seams, satin blanket binding and cotton backing.
I taught myself to embroider. And doing stuff by your self is not as much fun as with someone else.

I finished some more crafts for Spring. The painted box is papermache. I drew the saltbox house, painted it then distressed it.

The hanging candle holder is made from wood, painted and also distressed with primitive candles that are bout 4" tall.
I can't wait for Spring to sell my crafts. Yay lol

Debbie, Thanks for the info and the offer! We don't have a Hobby Lobby in this area, but I will try Joanne's. They have an assortment of patterns, and I haven't checked them out for awhile. Worth a try! I just love seeing what everyone has been working on!

Cherime...love the adorable baby quilts. Nice job!!!

Sheri...you are spinning my favorite colors. Do you sell your yarn?

Joan...love your salt box house. Your crafts lean more on the Primitive
side and I really like them! You should have no problem selling those.

Today I am armed with my new Guarilla Glue and I am fixing broken treasures.
Nobody dare get to close to me today lest they end up glued to something. LOL

hugs,
peggy

Oh, Peg..I was in JoAnn's today. A woman was telling the cashier about the time she super glued her teeth together. Oh, my. She was trying to get the cap off with her teeth, and the glue oozed onto her teeth. She said her dentist couldn't stop laughing. (I think it sounds scary) So, be careful with that glue.

Finishing up crocheted roses for tea cozy tutorial, then it's on to my Creative Bloggers Got Talent competition item. Can't tell what it is (everything has to stay anonymous), but prayers for steady hands and nerves, and that it turns out looking as cool in real life as it does in my head, would be appreciated!

Mary, if you can't find the Northwoods transfer pattern at a store, you can go directly to Aunt Martha's website where she has every transfer pattern you could ask for. Plus towels, needles, cases, etc.
Shelly, I've been teaching myself how to do embroidery with the help of several books and web-sites and You-Tube videos. Start easy and small and you'll be on your way. Once I got started I couldn't put it down. Make a set of "days of the week" with pots, pans, etc. for DIL's B-Day this month and she loved them! My son wanted to actually hang them up for display and not use them at all he thought they were so good. You'll find lots of places on-line where you can get free patterns to print off as well. Even children's coloring books give you lots of options for simple and easy practice designs. You're going to have such fun learning. One nice thing is that you can always "un-do" a mistake with embroidery.

The clay bug has struck again and I am working on my little crtters.(as I call them) They sure are fun to make. I never know exactly how they are going to turn out as they are all done by hand and one of a kind.

Aw thanks Annie. I love the colonial/prim decorating. I am working on a coffee table for my keeping room. It's all custom made as you can tell from the photos. I will post more pics of it when completely done. This is fun!

I've been combing through some of my fabric collection and came across these pieced blocks and extras made back in the 30s or 40s. Decided I don't have another quilt left in me so have offered it in my sharnymcclarny etsy shop. If you're interested, please take a look. I also found a pile of flannel pieces I intend to offer to my neighbor who makes lap quilts for nursing homes.
