Finished my quilt top this evening!!!! So excited to have it done. I will post pictures tomorrow. Light in my sewing room not good for taking pictures at night.

God loved us so much He gave His only son to die in our stead.

Tamara...Beautiful!!!! Very Very Nice! I want to learn to hand-quilt...but everyone does machine
quilting anymore. Then again...I don't think I have room in my little Apartment to really get into
quilting of any kind. No storage space for Fabric etc. My bedroom already serves at an office,
library, craft room and sleeping space. I couldn't possibly cram one more thing in here and have
room for me. LOL
Blessings,
Peggy

I have been working on a double wedding ring quilt for my son and wife to be...Lots of pieces to cut out but the reward is greater. Here is a picture of my quilt in progress. The other quilt I have been working on and just need to put a back on to it.

Hi, everyone.. Nice to hear and see what everyone is working on.

I am currently working on a hand appliqué butterfly from the book
"Perfect Hand Applique from Liuxin Newman.

Great beautiful projects if you don't have space for a sewing machine
and everything that comes with it.

I have a small arts and crafts hand bag where I keep all I need for my
hand appliqué.

That looks really detailed and beautiful. Is the heart with flowers also one you're doing? If so did you make the little flowers? I'd like to know how you do it.

Yes, I am also making the heart quilt.

The flowers you see is a french ribbon commercial embroidery strand that I purchased online some years past. I have tried to find this ribbon again online and it has been tricky. But am sure searching further you can find. You can fabric glue or zig zag sew the strand of ribbon by hand. I do the single rose ribbon by hand. That is easy.

The beads I learned from the book of Nancy Eha. She is the queen of sewing beads on fabric. She has a website if you care to look her up.
Here is a sample You Tube of her bead example:

Hope you enjoy them.

Regarding FAFSA... first one started college in 2001, and every year it makes me wince! Good luck and hang in there!
I have a Valentine to finish, and I'd like to do a couple of handwarmers... maybe work on my daughter's scarf.

Im doing a Secret Sister Swap at the moment and received my first package today. In it was a small heart-shaped quilted piece. Decided to doll it up a bit and plan to include it in the MJF quilt Im piecing together. Im using pieces created through MJF swaps or pieces sent to me by other sisters. I included a few buttons that I've collected over the years without realizing it! Cant wait until it all comes together! (My 1st attempt at embroidery-ha!)

Farmgirls, What beautiful and creative projects! I love them all for their hand made quality and inspiration, especially the embroidery, quilts and crochet. What is string art? How is it different from embroidery? I'm finishing up a fabric headboard cover for a friend. My son and his girlfriend loved the Kindle cases I made for them. Next is a new, smaller Kindle case for Peggy , then an apron for my daughter's MIL. If I listed all the other projects I want to do after that, I'd put you to sleep! Dianne in the Hudson Valley

Finally got this baby quilt done. I bought a package of fabrics with instructions for the quilt at Joann's that I thought were adorable together. When I went to cut the pieces I discovered they'd shorted me on two of the fabrics. I had to alter the chenille strips to get those to work because of it and then had to purchase another fabric (used a lavender flannel) to replace the mint striped flannel they shorted me on. The mint striped flannel was used for the backing of the quilt. Fortunately I measured before I cut or I would have had to buy a piece to back it with instead of a smaller piece for 2 blocks. I didn't have a chance to quilt it, so I tied it with purple embroidery floss.

You are all such talented ladies!

I am hoping to finish up a yarn tote so my big boy (my orange tiger cat, Pumpkin) can't get at my crocheting. He LOVES yarn and will go to just about any length to get at it, especially when we're all in bed. Naughty boy!
