It's a snow day here today, so I may make it a "sew" day! I need to sew some more Kindle covers for my adult children. The quilt is gorgeous, Debra! Dianne in the Hudson Valley

Here's another I made for my daughter's friend. It's done in batiks. The pink and green one in the previous photo is done in Amy Butler fabric. Dianne

Peggy, As you can see, I've perfected my Kindle pattern since sewing yours. I'm making another one for you, but be patient, as I'm searching for the perfect purple fabric! Dianne

Dianne...they all look so beautiful (The Kindle Cases)! You really are so Talented Girl!
Why are you going to make me another one? I love the one you made me...the only thing is my husband bought me the smaller size newer Kindle for Christmas...so it slops around a
bit in the Case you made me because that Kindle was bigger. If you made me a smaller one I would be happy to pay for it...and I will use this case for something else. This smaller Kindle would need an 8 X 5 case. But no hurry! Just whenever you get the time and find the Purple Material you're looking for. I love those fabric patterns you used on the above cases by the way. I like vibrant hues like that also. Only in Purple! lol I like purples mixed with pinks and purple mixed with blues and purple mixed with reds also. If that helps!
Thanks so much Dianne!

blessings,
Peggy

Peggy, Thanks for letting me know about the newer, smaller Kindle. And your description of your fabric preferences helps so much! It seems when I think of vintage, I think subdued colors. Dianne

Working on maternity apron for DIL for her birthday next Sunday. Making her daughter an apron too - one with bugs on it. It's football day, so can get lots done - if I get myself off this site and get to work. Love all the crafty items you ladies have made - you are all so talented.

I just sent an e-mail to a nearby Habitat office. I am inquiring the need for donated, handmade dishcloths, pot holders etc. for new home recipients. I am praying that God helps provide $$ for the cotton yarn I will need if they do say yes.

Besides putting together some IKEA shelves today, I am going to start embroider my MJ badges. Because I LOVE how easy, durable, and thick felt is, I bought some cream 100% wool felt yesterday at my favorite fabric store to embroider the badges. Besides embroidery is just plain relaxing!

I'm still on a cleaning rampage. But also plan to make a magnetic board today for my office.
I got the metal sheet...just need to fancy it up and make it pretty!

Robin...love the little project you are doing. That will make some great Mail-Art GF!

Curly's Quilts, Cool quilt--and love the name. Did you design it yourself?

Denise, I agree. Embroidery is very relaxing. I'm embroidering a kitchen towel for my farm friend. I'll post a picture after she receives it.

Bobbinrobin, what do you do with the printed encyclopedia pages? Love them.
