That is beautifull Karrieann!
I have been working knitted slippers & finished them today! Now I have on my cutting board some fleece for a baby blanket for my son & fiance.
I didn't start it until this afternoon though because today was bread baking day & I made oatmeal bread!! Yummy!!!

What beautiful projects! I love the quilts, appliqued table runner and tatted rosary and bookmark. I haven't done much quilting, though I do appreciate the work that goes into it. And I've never tatted. Is it hard? Love to see everyone's work. Saw a couple of comments from knitters. Show us your stuff! Dianne in the Hudson Valley

Hi! Just found this thread - mind if I share?

I am working on a watch cap for one of my two sons for Christmas, then another one to start, both off of teeny-tiny sock yarn. Sure do look classic, though. I also have a top down knitted sweater in the works for teenage daughter, but it is looking doubtful that it will get finished before Christmas. Oh, and waaaaaayyyyy too many other projects planned that I want to start and finish before Christmas. :)

Growing up we loved the stocking slippers with leather bottoms that we worn in the winter. Saw some I almost bought on L L Bean and then it dawned on me that I should get a cheap leather jacket at the thrift store for $5 and use the heavy wool socks I bought on sale ages ago and a make my own slipper socks. I deconstructed the jacket and will use the leader in other projects. But the sleeves alone gave me enough leather for six pairs of sock slippers. And being wool uppers I can easily hand wash these in Woolite and hang by the toes to dry, and they will last decades (trust me). Then kids and men in my family live in these come winter, because during good weather we only wear socks inside. Thus the wool keeps our feet warm in winter.
