I have been anchored to my kitchen the last several days making cookies. A big variety plate will be given to my son and daughter and a few of the neighbors before the holidays. Its tradition here and they've come to expect it...lol But I do have fun arranging the cookies and bars with little Hershey's kisses in between. Must take a picture and post it on my blog. Later, S

Peggy had asked for me to post a picture of the purple cross bookmark that I tatted for her. Well, I was so excited with it when I finished and sent it off to Peggy before taking a picture of it. Soooooooooooooooooooo... I tatted another one last night! And this time, I scanned it!

This one is ever so slightly different than Peggy's... ever so slightly!

Karrieann, you are so talented! That is so pretty! The only project I'll be working on over the next few days is writing a short story about a cell that goes through the processes within the cell for biology makeup homework!

Golly, I haven't posted on here in a long time. I am working on making 100 cat toy balls for the animal shelter I Volunteer at. The cats have nothing to play with all day so I think they will enjoy them.

Greetings! Finally getting around to posting some pictures. Here's a cape/jacket/scarf combination I made with a lovely boucle type fabric. The pattern didn't call for it to be lined, but I found great lining on the clearance shelf at Joann's so I lined it and added a clasp to keep it closed. Dianne in the Hudson Valley

The fabric is faux vintage from The City Quilter in NYC and it's lined in a soft yellow flannel. Dianne in the Hudson Valley

Dianne...Lovely Jacket and Scarf! Nice Work! And thanks for posting a picture of the Kindle Case that you
made for me. You took a Nice Picture of it! I am so loving it. It is absolutely perfect to carry in my
purse without taking up a lot of bulky space like my Leather Cover did. Sent your check out last week...so if you haven't gotten it yet..."It's In The Mail" (yeah that's what they all say right? lol)

I just finished up several gifts for Farmgirls but I can't talk my husband in to hitting the Post Office again until after Christmas. Can't say that I blame him...but last time I was the one who waited in the long line NOT Him. But I don't want him to be a Christmas Scrooge...so I will have to be patient with Him! lol So, Sharon and Suzanne...you each have a Peggy Gift Coming Your Way...but it won't be on Santa's Sleigh! I tried...but the Big Elf refuses to cooperate! Hee Hee! They get so testy this time of Year! :+)

Love and Smiles,
Peggy

I made three of these little aprons today. I am going to have a cookie baking day with my great nieces and thought they could use an apron.

Peggy, I received your beautiful card with the check and your picture yesterday. Thank you! My older kids have Kindles now and everyone wants me to sew them a case for it! I'll be busy after Christmas.

Catherine, Adorable aprons!

Karianne, Your tatting work is exquisite!

Sharon, When is your birthday in January? Mine is the 15th.

And Darlene, If you post here, I received the lovely ornament from our Virtual Porch group. Thank you!

... at our home we have a Charlie Brown tree that we got last year. It is a perfect size... miniature. Well it does not have a tree skirt and I didn't like what the retail stores had for any option. Last year I used a light blue fleece blanket which belongs to one of our fur-kids. (like Linus' blanket) I was staring at a pile of silk ties that my Mom had already taken apart at the seams.... then BINGO... my brain saw a mini Christmas tree skirt! I cut off the skinny ends of the ties and sewed them together like "Victorian" fan style but kept going till it was skirt for our lil tree. It is coming out adorable... I need to add a backing and some batting then quilt it. I'll get some pictures soon after I finish it.
