Oh! You girls have the cutest projects! And grandchildren!!! After looking at your yo yos, Grace, I'm thinking they would be a great way to use up some scraps!

Debbie... I have several sandwich size zipper baggies filled with pre-cut circles of fabric so I can "grab-go " ... so when I travel or camp I have something to keep my hands busy.
And yes... perfect for using up scraps...

Greetings: Yo-yo's are a great way to use up scraps! Clover now makes yo-yo makers, much easier to keeping yo-yo's the same size. The Sewing Ministry at church, in addition to making dresses for Dress A Girl Around the World, is making a yo-yo twin size coverlet to donate as an auction item. Stitching is underway to join all the yo-yo's. I'll post a photo when we finish! Bonnie Hunter is a great scrap quilter, visit her site and/or follow her blog. The quilts made from her scraps are amazing!

A friend of mine has what she calls her "decade" quilt. She started it years ago...she and her sisters all sewed so she used up their scraps..and then our scraps...and more scraps...making yo yos. It started out hanging over the back of her rocking chair and just kept growing! I think it finally fit on her bed.

Debbie: What a cute outfit for a too cute little boy! Awesome job.

Yo Yo quilts: I have never tried one of those. They look really hard. What a great church project.

Finished my grandsons tipi this weekend. So here it is...

Greetings! Yo-Yo's are easy, great travel projects plus a great way to use up scrap fabric! Consider purchasing a yo-yo maker!
Good luck.

Wow Theresa! Those are beautiful hats!

I am working on another set of hanging towels. My mom has an older towel that she wanted me to turn into 2 hanging towels. I have one done and the second one started. I'm hoping to finish it today. It will be nice to have one more project completed and out of my crochet box.

No they aren’t hard, just a lot of pieces to see together, my friend just lost her grandfather and I had made them for her when her grandmother passed also, plus the pillows and scented eye pillows, one of my resident at work husband past, so her roommate had me make her a pillow out of his shirt, always makes me happy to see her holding it when she doesn’t feel well! Good luck if u decide to make a bear!

Theresa, I finished the towels yesterday and gave them to my mother. I forgot to take a picture, but I will have her send me one so I can share it with you. And you really don't see them much anymore. I love them and want to make some for myself.

Roxanna, those bears are adorable! I love that they are made from a loved ones clothes. Your pink and white bonnet girl quilt in the background is very similar to one of my childhood blankets! I know it's boxed up right now but if I remeber correctly mine is yellow and white. I believe my grandmother made it for me. Crazy how flashbacks work!

Love all the projects you gals are working on - and finishing!

I have a yoyo pillow cover I got for a few dollars way back when. Haven't put it ON a pillow yet but you gals have me interested, so now I just may do that - AFTER I get back from China the end of May. We leave May 3rd and I am still thinking about what clothes we are going to take. LOL!

JoAnn, the pattern for the hat is on Raverly.com. Do you use Raverly? It is called Alaska. It would be perfect for your family members in Alaska. It is a really easy pattern.
