Oh,, I do like the stove matt...I wonder if I could use 'insulate' thermal fabric in between the layers..... like a giant hot pad.

Today I'll be working on stitching up a little hole in my sons pajamas. It's small enough that it will be a quick fix.

Sounds good Krista. I'm hoping to paint fall shapes and sew a blanket tonight.

Does anyone (besides me) look at the Sew4Home page on a daily basis. They have some cute and unique things to make. Some are very useful and some are downright practical.

I don't. I actually haven't heard of it before. Is it a website?

Making a lot of pinwheels for a quilty valance for my DDIL. She and my son have just moved into a new home and she wants a valance for the bedroom I will be staying in when I travel to see them in November.

After cataract surgery on both eyes I can see well enough to get back to some crafts. Finally got something done that I can post.

Here is a doily I just finished knitting and on the blocking board. Started another from a 1953 pattern but looks like I am going to have to tear it out or rewrite the pattern due to some errors in the pattern.

My son in law is leaving on Saturday for a moose hunt in Canada. He's wanting some covers made for his bow sight and quiver before he leaves. After I get that done today, I am working on a flannel quilt for my bed so I can get the top to the quilter in a couple of weeks.

I love flannel for winter! It's so cozy and warm.

I haven't had a chance to work on anything this week. It's been super busy. I'm hoping by the weekend things will have settled down and I can get back on track.

Wow, everyone has been so busy making such wonderful things! Jamie, I love the little purses. They are so cute! And Theresa, that doily is gorgeous. I've had some crazy schedules, but I have managed to put together a nursing cover for a co-worker. She loves giraffes. It's reversible and I also added some pockets.

My stack of granny squares is getting bigger. I still have a ton left to make, so I set a goal of having at least 3 done a week. Getting excited to have it finished.

Lovely squares Krista. That is the problem with working on an afghan with lots of squares - all the squares are the same and then they have to be attached to each other. I try to avoid this type of construction for an afghan which can be worked from the bottom up.

Jamie, I love those felt pouches and felt food! I have saved lots of patterns for the food..now, I just have to make some.

Theresa, your knit doily is gorgeous! I am so glad you can see better now. I know I will need that surgery in the near future.

Needle- that nursing cover in so sweet and will be comfy for babe and mom.

Krista, I'll bet you love looking at your growing stack of squares. Will the afghan be all the same color. If so, I bet the completed one will be so elegant!

I am starting on a billion bowl holders today. LOL.

Thanks Judy and Ruthie.

Marie- thank you! I have started to notice that. It's a very long repetitive work, but it should look good in the end. I'm not sure I will make another blanket of squares like this because it simply is time consuming. But at least now I will be able to say I have tried it!

Judith- I actually do! I'm very proud of my work right now. It actually will be 5 different colors with the color pictured being the main color. I'm planning on adding woodland creatures to those squares and having the other colored squares be plain. I have a lot of work still ahead and time is just flying past me!
