I've been doing a lot of Halloween related crafting lately. Made my costume and DS's costume this weekend - photos coming soon!

Also finished the "mummified" Hershey bars that are for DS's class treat this year:

I just finished a memory quilt for my daughter-in-law. She is such a wonderful person that I am happy to make it for her.

Can't figure out how to download the picture.

Today I worked some more on my granny squares. I had a doctors appointment and was able to finish two of them just while I was waiting. I have finished all my tan ones and have now moved onto red. I love getting closer to being done. I have so much left to crochet that I'm trying to take every spare moment I have to crochet at least even a row.

Super cute, Jamie! Did you buy the hat and decorate it or did you make the hat too?

Greetings! Thanks for the nice comments on the hat! I bought the hat at Walmart - it was all black with the tulle veil and a few black feathers. I got some foam shapes covered in glitter and a couple of Halloween picks/sprays. I used scissors to cut off the tape binding the various elements of the sprays together so I could pull them apart. Used my wire cutters to trim them down and then hot glue to attach to the hat. Turned out pretty good! Hopefully it holds up to being worn - would hate to have pieces start falling off! lol

I'm working on Sweetie Peetie Pumpkin by Twisted Threads. I got the last floss color I needed at a wonderful needlework shop in Evansville, IN, last weekend when I took my two teenaged boys on a little getaway to start off their fall break. The shop is Stitches from the Heart. I could have spent hours (and too many dollars) there!

Thank you ladies! Unfortunately I had to remove the stitches on the left side because I had miscounted...easy to do when you're doing one over one on 40-count linen! I had to buy stronger reading glasses, so Judith, I know what you mean!

So many cool projects! Mine are put on hold for now. Flying to Chicago to help our daughter after knee surgery. Only a week, but that's all I could manage to get off.

Hi Krista, love your Granny Squares. How do you join them when they’re all done?

Thanks Mary. This pattern calls for me to join them with a single crochet along the edges once I finish them. I haven't finished all my squares yet, so I haven't begun connecting them. I'm hoping to have all the squares finished by the end of the month. Then I need to make and add the appliques. Then I will be able to join them all together.
