Thank you Rachel and Krista. I love reproduction quilts from the Civil War and from the depression era. I'm always on the lookout for vintage fabrics.

I'm actually keeping track of the number of fabrics I will be using in this quilt.

Once I am done with making all of the flying geese I will count the fabrics. They will be part of the quilt's story.

I will be doing a blog entry on how I organize such a project. It can become daunting!

Catch you later! Cheers!

Carole I love the colors and hearing your quilting story.

Later today I will be cutting out two mini aprons to go on garden stakes to fly over two Boston Ferns for the Jubilee. When they are done my Jubilee projects will be completed.

Carole- Just from your picture it looks like you have quite a few different fabrics. I'm interested to see how many you end up using.

Sara- How exciting! I bet your mini aprons will look so cute flying outside among your Ferns!

Wow Rachel! When I fist looked at your picture I thought it was a stamp or something until I read your comment! That is fabulous script! You are so dang talented!
Do you actually use something called a brush pen?

Krista, I thought the same thing. I thought it was a stamp and thought I should try and find it at Michael's or Hobby Lobby!
Rachel, you should do that professionally!

And Krista yes it is a brush pen, a lot of brands make them but I'm partial to Tombow brand.

Here is the start to a blanket I am making for one of my boys. It's my current project but I don't plan on giving it to him until Christmas.

I'm doing the 1 year of stitches embroidery on vintage hankies and making a quilt for my bed. I need 22 hankies. I completed January to March and ran out of hankies. Ordered more of Ebay. Then will pick up with the April block. I love working on it each night sitting on the couch and talking to my DH. He loves seeing what I stitch each night.

I'm putting the month, a inspirational word and our trips to the Florida state parks. Then add flowers, hearts and fun stitches to fill in the rest of the space.

Rachel, is this writing similar to calligraphy?

Dena, I would think so. The trick I have found is to not think of what you are doing as writing, but painting curves and lines to make shapes. There are a lot of tutorials and practice sheets online. It takes some practice and about 4 times as long to write something, but my real handwriting is nowhere near as neat!

So many beautiful projects from everyone!!!! I love seeing them!

Here are a few things I've finished recently:

I've cut out pieces for 3 more tissue box covers - this time in black felt and I'm embroidering a dandelion pattern in white floss - I love how it is turning out. I'm just looking at a picture of what I want and free handing the embroidery which made me nervous but so far so good!!!

I also cut out pieces for another felt ornament project and have that waiting - a white circle with green holly leaves (2 shades) with some embroidery and beadwork accents. Will be really cute!

And I started knitting another washcloth (I've finished 4 total so far) - figured I might as well since I have enough yarn left to do one more!

Hoping to pick up some lavender scented epsom salts at the store today to fill the felt sachet projects I've got 95% done. I've got two ready to be filled and really want to make a third for ME!

Can't believe it's May already!!!! It's right around June/July that I really start to get the crafting "bug" with a major focus on Christmas presents I'm making. I'm feeling pretty good this year with what I've done so far though!

Everyone's projects look darling! I'm having trouble staying inside long enough to finish anything! It's suppose to rain tomorrow so maybe...

Jaime, the ornaments look great - I'm taken by the red dress!!!

Krista, love the coasters - they are my absolute favorite color, so bright and cheerful!

I admire everyone who is getting things done despite the warming weather. I'm hoping that once my spring planting is done i will get back to my sweet season swap projects and my poor mom's table runner!
