Jessica, your afghan is beautiful! It just reminded me a favorite dress I had as a little girl. It was purple and I insisted on wearing it with a white belt and white shoes.

I'm behind on replying to all the pretty things posted here. CeeJay your linen pocket is beautiful and Jessica love the colors you chose.

Today I started the first of 7 sunbonnet girl days of the week tea towels. I have been wanting to do brown work for quite awhile so I am working the tea towels in one shade of brown.

Nice linen pocket CeeJay. Your brown work tea towels sound wonderful, Sara.

Thanks Linda. I got the sunbonnet girl pattern and flour sack towel at the quilt shop. Will have to go back for the other 6 towels ~ any excuse to go to quilt shop works for me.

Working on sunbonnet girl tea towel today and ran into a little bit of trouble ~ French knots ~ which I haven't attempted for decades. MaryJanes Stitching Room Book to the rescue ~ there on pg 52 was what I needed ~ directions for French knots. My very first one was perfect ~ now to finish the bouget of French knots.

Sara, I remember back in the late '80's Candlewicking was popular,,, I swear I was a French knot stitching fool!.. but it was fun and easy.

Sometimes, for me, French knots are easy and sometimes not . . . but I can't tell you why it would be that way!

CeeJay, I know what you mean. My first one was perfect but ever now & then I get one that is sorta floppy, but I leave it be, and move on to the next one. I like doing the other stitches but French knots are a chore for me.

I hold the loop down close to the surface of the fabric and they turn out perfect every time.

Marie - I also hold down the loop like you do. It works most of the time, every once in a while it slips out, but not often.

I love seeing all of the beautiful projects. I am working up some knitted dishcloths for my Etsy today.I have any recently really gotten the hang of those purl stitches so it's slow going but every finished dishcloth is a VICTORY!! lol

I have a few projects on the go, another roll of unpaper towels, knitting a sweater for one of my daughters, making baby socks for our youngest and making 9 patch quilt squares.

Last night I finished a new pair of sock for spring. They are a soft acrylic blend and lightweight as well. The colors just reminded me of Easter baskets and spring flowers. I love how soft they are on my feet!

Working on finishing up a dragon blanket for the baby. It was going to be a first bday present but I had a yarn issue! Hopefully I'll finish it this week!

I'm working on the Valentine lap quilt, 2 micro wave bowl holders and tonight...hand embroidery.

Grateful to DH who will run my errands for me today, so I don't have to go to town. (He was going anyway).

Judith, hand embroidery does seemed to go with the quieter time of night. I keep mine by my rocker so it's always handy for a few stitches.

Winnie - you sure do make those socks fast. Are you knitting with a CSM or by hand? Love the socks.
