I just finished my very first one of a kind "art doll" I have made cloth dolls before, mostly rag type dolls with embroidered faces, but I've never done anything that I have drawn and colored a face on. I put off even trying to make one of these for years. I cannot count all of the times that I thought about making one, picked up a book on how to do it, looked through the book and then slipped the book back on the shelf out of fear. This time was different! This time I made myself do it! And I must say that I love how she came out. I name her Sweet Annie. Now I'm off to make a ooak fairy. Will post a pic of her when she is done.

hugs
Marcy

Oh, Marcy, Sweet Annie is just beautiful....and sweet! You did a wonderful job! I've been just the same with making the leap to soft dolls. Still not confident to do it. Can't wait to see your oak fairy!

Marcy...now once the fear is gone and you have the C.U.T.E.S.T. results to prove yourself more
than capable...I look forward to seeing many more beautiful soft dolls by you. Sweet Annie is
just stunning.

Making more and more . . . and more . . . did I say "more" . . . aprons to be ready for Farmers Market tomorrow.
It's amazing how many acres of fabric have gone across my cutting counter and the miles and miles (literally) of trims and thread . .
simply amazing!
Off to Market tomorrow!

I finished this rather bright apron yesterday, after battling the ruffle along the hem. I know the picture doesn't really show it off, but that is MJB's glamping fabric in the body of the apron - very fun : )

Cindy,
Cute apron. I've made about 55 aprons from Mary Jane's Glamping fabric, in the different colors and combos, for glamper girls all over the country. Fun, fun fabric!

Cindy, love that fabric and your apron is adorable!

Marcy, How cute is she? Oh my goodness you are one talented woman.

CJ, Love your aprons. I especially love red and white myself, so bright and cheery. Hope you enjoyed your Glamping adventure because now it's back to work.

I am getting out some quilt tops to put in the frame tomorrow. I have only ever hand quilted so it will take me some time to do them. I think I have four to get quilted together.

Sheri, that is a beautiful hat box!

I want to get started on making t-shirt yarn when I get home today. My husband has a gazillion old t shirts. I plan on using the yarn to make rugs for my laundry room.

Ok, I didn't make this.... but I really wanted to share. This is one of the reasons I've not been around lately....

This is my FIRST Grandbaby. Ain't he cute. I know, it's suppose to be Handsome, but granny can say he's beautiful can't she????? ;-)

Beautiful boy!

I just finished a bag for yoga mats for my daughter, and I'm half way through with the background for a whimsy afghan. I also made hummingbird food and delivered a note to town. I am feeling rather accomplished after spending the past several days taking care of my seriously-down-in-the-back hubby.

Thank you all! I could just eat him up!!!! I've already got him a mickey mouse bobber for fishing and am making plans for camping and all kinds of things..... I know I have to wait for a while before he can do any of those things, but a grandma (I understand) can start planning whenever she wants! hahahahaha

Cindy...I can see why you had trouble with that ruffle but it turned out amazing!

CJ...just wanted you to know that Brenda loved the Apron and I told here that you made it for me.
I believe in full disclosure and giving credit where credit is due. Want you to know that I tell
everyone how fabulous your Aprons are and that your attention to detail is beyond belief.
Brenda loved the pansies which I knew she would and is now afraid to wear the Apron because it is
so Awesome that she doesn't want to spill anything on it. LOL I informed her that they wash-up
beautifully!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

The gold print on the quilt is the backing. I can't believe a photo posted for me. Yay!
