More aprons . . . need to make two more "Evelyn" styles for my nephews daughters. They want to purchase aprons for their girls that I made and that were named for my mom. What an honor!!!!

You can see one . . .watermelon slice print . . . on my cjscreations blogspot.

And, I'll be starting on more of other styles too!!!
It's apron day!!

Redwork flour sack dishtowels with pillow ticking trim....

I am getting ready for our summer shows and I am sewing fast and furiously. They are so dear. I have a few pictures of recently sold dishtowels posted on my blog.

I am working on veneering hat boxes. Here is a pic of a finished one but I have two in process. I will spray them with lacquer when the veneering is done. I am hoping to be able to sell them when they are finished.

Oh Sheri...they are like little pieces of fine art....and I have always been enamoured with Kahlil Gibran; his work made high school bearable back in the 70's!

I collect hat boxes for all my photo's----must have about 5 now, but not near as nice as yours.

Please let me know how much you are asking for the hat boxes.... WOW!

I haven't sold any yet - I have made a lot as gifts over the past few years. I will probably start out on etsy. Any advice on the selling part would be very valuable. It takes a lot of time to cut and piece the designs but I really love doing it. It started out as a way to use up the veneer scraps left over from when I had a kitchen design/cabinet shop business. I also do pictures with wood inlays and hand dyed wood veneers as well.

Blessings, Sheri

I've been making fabric cuffs after reading the book by Ruth Rae, 'Layered, Tattered & Stitched'...I am totally obsessed with making them!
If you visit my blog there is a pic posted of the first one I made...

I love your hatbox, Sheri! And Dutchy your pink quilt sounds just lovely!

Tabitha, love your blog and your fabric cuffs! I can see why you get lost in them

Marian, a pink quilt, perfect!! Take pictures I want to see!!

Sheri, your work is so beautiful. .. please do not undersell your talents!! Do an online search for other artisans that do your type of craft ( not necessarily a hat box) and see what they are charging. You will need to determine what your time and talent are worth in the long run.

Tabitha, I love your cuffs. You are a very talented lady. I enjoyed looking at your blog. I see that you are into fairies. I have built little "fairy houses" out of bark with pine cone petal shingles. They turn out pretty cute. I am trying to work out how to make one out of rocks with mortar that will be weatherproof for my flower garden.

Would love to see pictures of your pink quilt, Marian.

Blessings, Sheri

I need to work on my seed list too, since I finally figured out where I will be moving to in the next few months. I'm trying to decide on what to start on later. Do I want to get back to work on my sister's quilt or do I want to make the head for the fat man? Fat man was going to be a Santa, but since Christmas is past and it would be so much more fun to have him out year round, he's just going to look like a fat old man. hee hee
