This is Lulu I came across this thread afew days ago and I'm lovin it.
Angela, sorry to hear about your sunburn. I did that quite afew years ago and now I'm real careful when it comes to being in the sun. Do you have a recipe for the bikers greenslime? The skeeters just love me and that keeps me off the porch in the evening. And I do love sittin on the porch.
Darlene I'm going to try the bread pudding today, I just love bread pudding, my Grammie use to make it and it was my favorite.
Hope to see ya all later on the porch.

It is beautiful here. Finally the sun is out. Truly a blessing from God. I brought some scones and chocolate cream tea. HOpe everyone is having a wonderful day. I have bible study this afternoon and am looking forward to to that.

Peggy I am so excited that we are now a group. Yeah!

angela hope that sunburn is feeling better today.

Welcome to all the new ladies. This porch is the most wonderful place to breeze in and sit a spell. So yall make yourselves comfy.

Well time to finish a few things up before I go this afternoon. I will check in later this evening.

Darlene...is how is Trystan doing? It is weird because my husband has the same
thing Trystan does. But I am sure it must be much more concerning that a new
born would have it. He and your entire family are in my prayers.

Lida...today is my husbands birthday too. Small world isn't it?
My hubby has a viral infection and is spending his birthday in
bed. The poor dear...what a lousy way to spend a birthday!

Still no news today from Brian but I will keep you posted.
Have a Wonderful day...and Tami (from Longview) isn't it a
Nice, DRY, warm beautiful day????? I am Loving it!!! Hope
it lasts!

LULU...Welcome to you! Glad to have you joining us!

Blessings,
~Peggy

Ladies,
We've had nice weather here in the Northwest for a few days now!!! Hooray. With nice weather means not as much time on the porch. The kids and I have been having several walks/bike rides which means not as much house work being done. Hasn't been a big deal since the Mister has been out of town but he's in Seattle waiting for his flight to Portland. Time to get cleaning. Maybe I should go in away from the porch and make my legs presentable? Haha. I don't care about hair when Jeff is gone but I don't suppose he'll like seeing hair below my capri line. ;-)

OK Porchies here is the deal. To be an "Official Member" who can contribute in the Henhouse you have to be an Official Member of MaryJane's Farm Sisterhood. If you haven't officially joined you can
still read our conversations in the Henhouse, you just can't contribute via the Official Chapter. If you don't want to pay the yearly fee you can still contribute via this Thread and not the Henhouse. So, if you
are an official card carrying member, hee hee(or want to be) contact Brian Ogle at MJ's Farm and ask him to put you into the Henhouse. Here is his email address: brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org

As we always do, we are going to have a fun time together. Hurry and sign up as quickly as you can. Then we can start thinking of a few fun things that we might want to do. I have a very simple swap in mind right away. Really Simple...you'll see what I mean later.

Remember we are now called Virtual Porchies...so when you check the Chapters or Henhouse they are listed alphabetically, so you guessed it
we are near the very last. We are officially up and running...so get signed in.

Blessings,
~peggy

Hi guys! I don't have a lot of time to sit and chat; I have to pick up a library book and then I'm going to finally go into our pool (three weeks after I got out of school:) Then I have basketball practice. Have a good day ladies!

Hey Porchies! I made it through the market. It wasn't so bad. I even managed to make a few new connections for gettin cannin jars and found a lady who I am goin to be spendin a whole lot more time with. She has kids the same ages as mine and loves cannin and cookin as much as me. She even has gardens everywhere at her place! I'm gonna try to recruit her as a farmgirl, I think she'd love it. My sunburn is better enough I actually slept good last night....and half of today. :) I didn't get out of bed till 11:00am!

Lulu, I made mine up by mixing shea butter lotion and aloe together. You add equal parts then keep addin in a little more aloe till it's slightly soupy. It smells funny and feels a little greasy, but so worth it to get rid of the itch.

Angela...Yeah, you made it through your Market Day and it sounds like you had a great
time (even better). Sunburns can really be miserable so glad that you are doing better.

OK Porchies...just a reminder to get hold of Brian and Sign Up for our Chapter.

Sherone...loved the porch picture! Looks inviting huh?

Just emailed Brian to be put into the Henhouse.

Trystan came home today. Thanks for all the prayers!

Lida, Allentown is 1/2 hour from Reading. Thank God for the NICU"S and their skilled staff!

Peggy, I'm glad your hubby liked the bread pudding. I'll have to try the splenda too. I lost 30lbs and need to lose some more. I was able to take myself off a BP med since I lost the weight. I've made the pudding with raisin cinnamon bread and it was great also.

I'm so exhausted from the GKS I can hardly think. There's a reason Moms are young! Last nite I went to bed but was back up in a flash because my left shoulder was killing me...the left hip is where I hold the 18mo when she wants up. She walks with me most of the time but when she wants up she weighs 26.8 lbs and you get the picture. She wants to swim in my red victorian tub all day. It's been in the 90's so she's kicking in one tub and the boys are in the other tub cooling off. It looks like that Viagra commercial with my tubs! I wish I knew how to put pics on here then I would show you how cute they look. I chill in them after I'm in my gardens. What a Godsend!

Kids go home tomorrow nite and I will recoup.

Welcome Lulu.

Nice porch Sherone.

Angela that itch is terrible. At least the cream works!

Later Porchies,
Darlene

Girls...you can all go to Our Virtual Porch Chapter Henhouse and read the comments that
I posted in each of the four categories. Brian will get back to you in a day or two if
you have already contacted him.

Darlene...so glad the baby is better and now I will pray for your hip.

Sherone...I love your Porch Picture but if you go on to Projects and read what I
wrote you will find out why I said, "Not Yet Sherone" when I saw your
picture posted. I already had this particular project in mind a week ago.

Hi Porchies,
All is well in western New York. I will be away from the computer for a few days, so enjoy the porch! I will be tending my garden at my mother's and enjoying some time on the St. Lawrence River at a family reunion. Bicycling, reading, kayaking, gardening, kids & grandkids, nieces, nephews, brothers, in-laws, cousins...

I am preaching the sermon at our hometown church tomorrow! My kids will be there to heckle me! The last time my granddaughter was at church when I was preaching I could hear her in her pew telling her mom she wanted to go up and be with Grandma.

When I get back I will contact Brian about joining our Virtual Porchies Chapter; this computer can't open the contact link, so I will have to do it from work.

Carpe diem!

Evening ladies,
It is hot hot hot hot...well you get the point. I did hear from Brian and know what I need to do but it will be at least Monday. My dear grandson Layton made a surprise visit and well this grandma couldn't resist a 4 month old waiting to give her a kiss. My twins have 4-H camp and leave tomorrow so I will be busy packing them up. I tell you it has been a busy day. I just needed a rest here on the porch. But seeing Layton was a wonderful surprise and he is so darn cute.

stay cool ladies,

Ahhh, all the weeds are pulled, house is clean and now I'm enjoying a beverage waiting for my fresh homemade raspberry granita to set up. Once it does, I'll have plenty to cool off everyone for this summer evening. The hubby is playing tonight! So I am home by myself, enjoying the nice breeze.

Hi Farm Sisters...Oh, I just put a little Miracle Grow out on the Veggies and my Flowers.
It was another beautiful day here in WA State. My DH has been sick with a Bacterial Bug
Since his birthday on Wed. and I am trying to fight it off. So, we are just being real
low key and hanging around the home-front. So, I thought a trip to the Porch was just what
I needed.
Pam...I am having some Peach Iced-Tea and just enjoying my new Vintage Embroidery Books!
I started my Redwork a couple nights ago and am so delighting in doing embroidery again.
I must say my satin stitch needs a little work but hey...not horrible, which is good after
30 yrs of not doing embroidery. I would love some of your Raspberry Granita when it's ready.
Thanks for sharing!

Lida...have a Wonderful time at your Family Re-Union! I have always admired families that like
each other enough to do things like that. My ex-tended family was never close, so I love to
hear about big family gatherings and lots of fun together.

Blessings,
~Peggy

I had a very good day today. I finished reading a book, and the sun was shining outside.
