Morning Amy Grace, good to see you here. I should know more next week, will let you know. There is always the solution to send it to my mom in France and I will get it next time I go.
I've sent all my cards and gifts early becauce it takes one month to arrive and I just "smelled" some incertainity in the air. Hope you'll like yours when you get it.
Hugs,

Hi Annika and Alee!!
I hear ya on the busy Alee, this time of year is super hectic for me, Annika sounds like you have been really busy too.
I did get the house clean enough to sit in today so then I could work on Christmas gifts comfortably - can't start projects in dirty houses. I love waking up to a clean kitchen floor, it makes me feel like I am in a hotel. This time of year the dog tracks make it next to impossible to keep clean so I have a one day window:D
Okay, off to take a bath, will check in to say goodnight

Good morning Mavens, just a quick check in. This is one of my cafe morning. Good evening Corinne. How did your dyeing class go. I haven't done dying for quilting fabric but I have done dying for wool to spin. It's so cool to see what you come out with. I want to have a dyers section in my herb garden. Corinne, is it too late for me to send my Christmas card to your address?

Good morning, Mavens! Just a quick post to let you know we made it to the in-laws safe and sound. No flat tire to slow us down this time! We visited a Civil War fort yesterday and ate at a wonderful seafood restaurant. Fresh seafood - it's been years since I've had fresh shrimp. It was wonderful!!!

Will post again when I have a chance. Hope all is well with everyone.

God bless -

Good evening ladies, hope everybody is happy and fine this morning at your place.
Teresa Sue, you sure can send your card to the address you have, it will make it before we are on the road. The dye workshop was a lot of fun, messy too, but we ended up with 13 yards of fabric dyed the color we wanted, I choose teal in all the values and declinations.
Have a great day,
Corinne

HI girls!
Boy howdy have I been busy too. I spent most of the day shopping for the bonfire this weekend, and now I'm "supposed" to be cleaning. But everything is just sitting where I left it. If I wasnt such a "trailer" meaning I leave things as I go, it wouldn't be so bad.

I sold 3 dozen eggs last week and have orders for 5 dozen this week. I got raves on the eggs, and just one complaint: that they were too small. They are still pullet sized. So when it comes time to add to the flock I need to pick hens that will lay larger eggs I guess.

I almost have Lora's gift done. I am hoping to get it done by the time she gets here this wknd to give it to her and save on shipping!!

NOt much happening around Ohio. The air is brisk and all the leaves are down. I am hoping to get out and rake a bit for my garden tomorrow. Anyone want some hickory nuts? Speak now before they get fed to the squirrels!!

All of you have been on my mind something fierce this week. I am so glad that we kept the DoE as a home base..... okay I'm off to the coop to check in and then that'll be all for me until tomorrow evening. MAke it a great one girls!

Karen - I am jealous. DH doesn't like seafood so I never get to eat it. Sounds like you will have a good visit.
Dawn, I'm glad we kept the DoE too, feels like home somehow....sniff
Sorry - I get a little sentimental during the holidays.
I am getting organized. I cannot have another holiday season like last year's so I have pledged to myself that I will spend half an hour spot cleaning everyday when I get home. That way I can work on projects on my weekend...One day into it and it seems to be working:D
Talk soon,
Amy Grace

I am exhausted today. Too much cleaning this week I think! So I am taking it easy, though I did organize my craft room catch-all box. Yes, a box. Not a drawer...a computer paper box..lol

Good evening, girls. Not much going on here today. Had the day off and did a little shopping. Bought some new flannel jammies and finally went into a quilt store that I see just about everyday. I probably have driven by it 1,000 times wondering what the inside looked like. Today, I found out. Absolutely gorgeous. It's in a old house and every single room has fabric in it. The basement is the class room. I bought some wool felt and a project book. Yeee haaaaaa. Time for fun.

Going back to work tomorrow. Brrrrrrrr. 25 degrees over night tonight. Will be a tad bit chilly in the am. I really wish the dept. would get me a real winter coat. That little windbreaker just isn't warm at all. I asked hubby for some of that silk long underwear for Christmas. My supervisor said to wear the coveralls we are given, but (gripe gripe gripe) they are too warm in the car.

Dawn - it's almost here!!!!!!!

See ya'

Good morning/evening dear Mavens,
mmmmmm....Lora a wish your supervisor the internal thermometor of a menopausel woman...heheheheh man, if that doesn't show him nothing will.
Amy Grace my hubby doesn't care much for fish/seafood either. When I went to San Diego, the first thing my daughter did when she picked me up at the air port was to take me to a fabu restaurant on the edge of the ocean where we ordered fresh seafood. OMG, there is nothing like a scallop if it is cooked correctly. Did I mention I gained weight on that trip? LOL
I'll check in later farmgirls, gotta go cook at the cafe.

Okay, who had the dream about green candles? I think it was Corrine.....well, I am really into dream interpretation. Its something I got interested in after my mom died because I was having horrendous dreams, not sleeping etc, etc, I figured that I had to make sense of them in order to go away.... also, I consulted a medium after mom passed... I know, I know....... lets just not go there....but I did learn something interesting about dreams from her which prompted me to learn more. So. this dream's focal point was green candles? I'll be back....

Okay, candle dreaming mavens.......

An unlit candle represents a disapointment or setback. The color green signifies a positive change, serenity, health and independence.

Corrine: it could be something stemming from your upcoming move. Keep a positive attitude that God will provide and I believe it'll be a good thing for you....

Dawn, I understand the need to look for answer after the loss of some one as important as your mom. I hope you found then, what you were looking for.
Thank you so much for this dream interpretation, I had no idea what the green candles were in for, not I am thankful to you for letting me know. This dream, to me, was about the generosity of all the Mavens who each sent a piece of luggage to me...
Still no more news but we are exploring a few options, one being we would settle in France close to my parents, and because I wouldn't be working and Raymond would commute, it would be free of taxes, and then I could have a garden and live in a small village. So in all the unknown, there is plenty of hope. And in the end, we have to go back to Africa, I am now in a state of mind where I can serenely accept it. All your prayers and positive thinking had a good influence on my somber thoughts and I love you for the net of friendship and care you've all set around me. So I am very grateful to all of you for this being able to happen.
Signing off for tonight, love ya'll.
Corinne

Are you asking for dreams? I needed answers regarding my mothers death so I would literally ask her to come into my dreams. You just could be a very deep sleeper. Thats good. A lot of people dont get to that REM stage... My hubby does. He never dreams. I dream all the time and they are quite vivid.

Dawn~I know what you mean. I never can make it to the chats. I hope you all don't forget about me. It has been so busy here since we got back from Disney. The kids and I have been busy with school and school activities. That's what happens when you homeschool. I have so much housework and my dog needs a bath.
I have been reading AVM and would love to be able to change over completely like they did. We don't have enough land for that but every little bit helps. I have picked out some things I want to order from SSE catalog. I don't want to choose too many things because I don't want to be overwhelmed. I figure I could always add more as the years go on.
I miss chatting with you, ladies.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Blessings,
Ruth
