I finished AVM about 2 weeks ago. Over all I really liked it and I also downloaded her book of further essays called "Small Wonder". So far they have been great! :D

LOL! So if yours are Grandbeasties...is Nora just my beastie? Because the dirty rat pulled all her books off the bookshelf and was trying to keep be from cleaning all day long!
It sure tuckered her out though- she went to sleep at 7pm!!

Man, I totally forgot it was chat night;(
Good to hear y'all's voices. I am going to have to check out that wintersown website, although there is not much winter sowing to be done here. All my grand plans of greenhouses and bathroom remodels have come to naught this fall, as my husband had a 10 day fishing trip then a 5 day trip to San Diego. Oh well - he needed it, he has never gotten to be a tourist. And now we have to save up for my trip to France in the spring so I will just have to pray that DH can scavenge building materials from his work and that the bathroom floor doesn't fall through till April.
All this talk about how much better organic produce tastes reminded me of something I noticed about organic/healthy meat. My husband is a very hearty eater but when we get meat from the co-op we all eat a lot less, it is like you can feel that it is more nourishing for you. Anybody else notice this phenomenon?
Teresa Sue - how did your fabric selling go?
Corinne - you already sent the Christmas package?? Holy cow, I thought I was ahead of the game this year. I could send yours early or late depending on your moving, I don't know how long mail takes to get from here to there.

Ladies, my time with you is short this morning, I have signed for a dye workshop at the quilt guide before I received the news about moving and I have to find an old pair of jeans and a shirt that can be thrown away after, so will borrow one of each from DH old stock.
Sweet dreams to you. By the way, I had the strangest dream last night... I received a huge packet from the Mavens, each of you has sent me a travel bad, a suitcase or a purse.... and there were lots of green canddles with them, all wrapped in grey paper... funny dream.
