Posted - Dec 04 2019 : 11:26:12 AM Last night I finished my candles that I am giving to my neighbors for Christmas. I decided to go with a sweet orange scent and colored the wax a light orange. I made an extra one for me to burn. I'm going to test it out first. I really hope it works! lol otherwise I will feel dumb! But I noticed today, now that they are completely cooled the wax has cracked. Does anyone know why? Is that normal? I also learned the hard way that you need a special sticker to make the wick stay down and in the center. Lol

Denise, you are amazing. Making a quilt for everyone is so sweet. I bet you will get them done in no time!
It's a snowy day here so we have been staying inside. I made my first batch of spritz cookies today. I'm taking them to Thanksgiving tomorrow. While they were baking I worked a little more on some Christmas projects. I'm hoping to finish my MIL diamond painting tonight. One step at a time!

Posted - Nov 26 2019 : 10:34:25 AM Great work ladies! You inspire me to greatness---but I can't get there from here---LOL> As so many people tell me---you just have too many animals. But that is my greatness---I am the animal whisperer. My last wish in life is to raise a bear cub and then I will be happy---or maybe I should just learn to crochet.

Posted - Nov 25 2019 : 3:52:56 PM You girls have been busy. Love all the projects going on. Your quilt is lovely Judith, and the bunny is too cute Natalie. I like the way you repurposed the bucket. Krista those reindeer are adorable! Heather I love to crochet too. Great gloves. I've never tried to make gloves yet.
I have a quilt basted together for my youngest grandson. I think I may tie it off as it takes me so very long to quilt them by hand. I still have quite a few to get done. I want to do one for each of my children and grandchildren. So far I have only done a few. Since there are 7 grands I need to get a move on.

Posted - Nov 17 2019 : 12:21:38 PM Heather, I love your fingerless gloves! How much fun it will be to jingle the bell! Crochet is one of my favorite things, too. I love how portable it is. 400 squares should make a nice size quilt that your husband will surely love!

Krista - your reindeer is adorable!
Julie - I didn't have my embroidery machine long at all - only a couple years. But, my aunt had it for about 20 before me and she bought it used. I do miss is though because it did a much nicer job sewing than my other machine.
Here's my manure hauling project all finished:

Posted - Nov 14 2019 : 1:03:50 PM Thanks Natalie! I love the buckets; they get used for a lot of things: holding various potting soils, week buckets when gardening, hauling water camping, holding feed, etc. etc. etc. They came in real handy during our drought when I was hauling gray water from the washing machine out to the garden. At about 50 gallons per load it kept our trees alive.

Posted - Nov 14 2019 : 09:52:09 AM Judith, Thank you. To cover the bucket I used approximately 75 feet of .375 inch polypropylene rope and quite a few hot glue sticks. For the little accent sections I used remnant sisal pieces. These buckets are so sturdy and useful after kitty has used up the litter.
