Posted - Aug 16 2017 : 1:37:34 PM Hello everyone! I'm excited to join the farmgirl sisterhood. I was looking for something to help me learn new skills and to also stay motivated while I hone old skills. This seemed like a perfect fit. I'm also looking forward to interacting with like minded people. A little about me... I hail from the Northern Neck of VA. I'm a farmer working toward the goal of raising at least 80% of my own food. I'm a bio-regional folk herbalist. I forage and make most of my own medicines and teach others herbal skills. I'm a Master Naturalist and volunteer to help connect others to nature. I run the business side of my husband's electrical contracting company and sometimes apprentice when he is short handed. Last, I also love crafting, canning, baking, crochet, canoeing, and beading. I'm a bit of a recluse so I do look forward to meeting everyone and hopefully I can also form a local chapter in the future.
Thanks, Heather
